runDisney races are super popular events at the Disney theme parks. Runners all come together for magical miles through the parks, stopping to meet characters along the way.
Now, NEW runDisney merchandise is coming out soon, and we got a SNEAK PEEK!
Disney invited us to get a first look at the new runDisney Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend merchandise!
The Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend is part of the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival and takes place from November 2nd to November 5th, 2023. If you participate in the event, you can purchase some of this exclusive merchandise.
First up, we got to check out some exclusive new Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend items.
There was a wine glass for $19.99…
…a Canteen Corkcicle for $54.99…
…and a sneaker ornament for $26.99.
Some of our favorite items were the new Loungefly backpack for $78…
…and the Minnie ears headband!
If you liked that Corkcicle, you might need this Lug crossbody bag to carry it in!
There was also a new Lug belt bag.
Of course, there were lots of pins in this collection, including a few for the 5K…
…some for the 10K…
…and more for the Half Marathon.
The Half Marathon theme is Encanto, so there was an Encanto Spirit Jersey…
…and a Bruno shirt.
To show off your achievement, you can purchase a magnet to place on your car!
There are magnets for each of the races, along with a Passholder-exclusive one.
There’s an overall Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend Collection along with smaller individual collections for each of the races (5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and two-race Challenge).
The Challenge is themed to Figment, so all the Challenge merch is Figment-themed!
We also got a look at some new items in the runDisney Core Collection, which will be available at all race weekend expos in Disney World and Disneyland through the Springtime Surprise event.
This collection has a new Loungefly backpack…
…Spirit Jersey…
…t-shirt…
…Lug belt bag…
…and more!
The runDisney Expos — where you can purchase this exclusive merchandise — take place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex in Disney World. There, you’ll find the merchandise, exclusive character meet-and-greets, and the vendor fair. Since the Half Marathon is Encanto-themed, we might see a Bruno character meet-and-greet!
On Thursday, November 2nd, the expo is operating with a virtual queue only.
The exclusive Annual Passholder merchandise is located behind a separate counter, so when your virtual queue is called, you can ask a Cast Member and then go back to shop.
These runDisney collections are planned pretty far in advance! In fact, Disney is already working on the collections for 2026. The process starts with the race weekend themes, and then Disney decides which characters best fit the theme and what aspect of those characters’ stories fits the race.
If you want to try out a runDisney race, you can sign up for a 2024 event now! There are all kinds of race lengths available, from 5Ks to marathons, and even some race challenges, like the infamous Dopey Challenge (which involves running a 5K, 10K, half marathon, and marathon on four consecutive days).
