Even amongst the bustling crowds in Disney World, you can find a little peace.
Inside each of the parks, quiet areas can present themselves– if you know where to look. Sometimes, benches will be open for a break, or less familiar attractions can provide some air conditioning. But if you’re looking for a more secluded spot to avoid the packed parks, even just for a little while, you might want to check out this hidden gem.
Usually, when people visit Disney World all they think about are the parks. But here’s a secret–there’s so much more to Disney World than the parks. Of course, the parks are the main attraction and you have to experience them, but if you need a little break from all the craziness, then you need to know about this not-so-hidden walkway.
There is a walking path that loops all around Crescent Lake (the lake that the EPCOT resorts surround). While this path is not hidden (it’s very large and out in the open), there are never very many people on it. It’s a great spot for a quiet stroll.
The path takes you around each of the EPCOT resorts–Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, and the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort. Past the Yacht and Beach Club resorts, you can walk along the sandy beach and tour the lighthouse. At the BoardWalk Inn, you can walk along the actual boardwalk enjoying the beautiful sights.
Each of these hotels has great places to stop for a quick snack, too! Some of our places to try are Beaches and Cream at the Yacht & Beach Club, the Boardwalk Deli is a great place to grab a quick sandwich, and if you’re up for some comfort food, check out The Fountain at the Swan & Dolphin.
And the other great part about this walkway is that it can take you straight from Hollywood Studios to EPCOT in about 30 minutes. That’s 30 minutes of silent bliss between hectic parks. Or if you’re staying at one of the EPCOT resorts, it’s just a quick walk into the park in the morning.
So while this walking path isn’t truly hidden, we still consider it a hidden gem because there are not usually many people on it. It’s a great place to grab a break from the parks. Consider checking it out on your next Disney trip!

I typically stay at Beach Club, and Agree 100%!
In addition I usually walk to Studios and take the boat or the Skyliner back, or the reverse.
