If you’re excited about the holidays in Disney World, we’ve got some BIG news to share with you.
Now, we’ve already seen the holiday decorations going up in Magic Kingdom. We’ve also seen a TON of holiday merchandise in stores. We’re SO ready for the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party — and all the food we’ll eat there. We’re also excited about the Disney World hotel gingerbread displays and we just got a big UPDATE about those.
Disney just revealed the menus for some of these gingerbread displays in Disney World — and everything sounds DELICIOUS. So let’s break it down by hotel:
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort
Disney announced that the menu at this giant gingerbread house will include (but probably not be limited to) these items:
- Freshly baked, homemade items, such as Gingerbread Mickeys and Shingles, Stollen Bread, Brownie Christmas Tree, and Gingersnap Cookies
- House-made Gingerbread Ornaments and Gingerbread Houses
- Assorted Gingerbread Cookie Bags, Marshmallow Pops, and Milk Chocolate Pecan Fudge
- Grand Floridian Combo Box featuring assorted fan favorite treats, including the cookies n’ cream Christmas Tree, exclusive to this box
- Plant-based, no sugar added, and gluten-friendly options
The gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian is already under construction — and it will even look a little different this year. We can’t wait to visit it! It’s available from November 8th through January 1st.
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
The Yacht Club is getting a NEW gingerbread display this holiday season. Pastry Chef de Cuisine Michael Craig used the blueprints for the lighthouse just outside the hotel to create a gingerbread model of it.
You’ll also be able to get some treats here too at the Holiday Pop-Up Shop, including Lighthouse Fudge.
Disney’s Beach Club Resort
The gingerbread carousel will be returning to Beach Club this year, but this year its inspiration is Duck Tales and will include horses themed after Donald and his nephews. You’ll also find hidden Mickeys in the display.
This year’s menu includes:
- Signature Stollen Bread
- Lighthouse Fudge
- Mickey Snowman Pop
- Crispy Rice Treat
- Peppermint Bark
- Gingerbread Shingle
- Hot Chocolate Flight
- Hot Chocolate
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
BoardWalk Inn’s gingerbread display is inspired by the resort itself and will feature gingerbread creations of some of its most iconic locations, including the BoardWalk Deli. You’ll be able to enjoy this gingerbread display from November 17th through December 24th.
This year’s treats menu includes:
- Mickey and Minnie Sugar Cookies
- Mickey Caramel Corn Cookie
- Christmas Tree Pop
- Peppermint Bark
- Gingerbread Shingles
- Gluten/ Wheat-Friendly and Plant-based Gingerbread Shingles
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
The gingerbread giraffe and zebra will be returning to Animal Kingdom Lodge this year. You’ll find this display in the Jambo House lobby from November 22nd through December 31st.
You’ll be able to grab treats like the Gingeraffe Cookie and a Hot Cocoa Flight, as well as beer, wine, and cocktails!
Disney’s Contemporary Resort
The Contemporary gingerbread display will also return this year from November 10th through January 6th. This year will feature a Mary Blair-inspired 100th Celebration-themed Castle display designed by Imagineers. It will stand over 17 feet tall and will even have 12 hidden five-legged goats. FUN!
The following treats will be available:
- Gingerbread Castle Brick
- Paint Your Own Cookie Box
- Hot Chocolate Caramel Fudge
- Chocolate Peppermint Cookie
- Pistachio Linzer Cookie
- 5-Legged Goat Cookie
- Gluten/Wheat Friendly Gingerbread Cookie
- Gingerbread Latte Cupcake
- Christmas Tree Butter Cookie
- Frozen Hot Chocolate (Also available with Peppermint Schnapps)
- Frozen Apple Cider (Also available with Fireball Cinnamon Whisky floater)
Whew! That is a lot of treats to try, but we’re going to do our best to visit every gingerbread display and eat ALL the things — it’s for science! So be sure to stay tuned to DFB for more news about the gingerbread displays and reviews of new snacks!
