We eat a lot of snacks in Disney World…and we mean a LOT.
We’re talking everything from sweet treats to savory goodies. We’ve probably tried thousands of eats over the years! But we still get excited when we spot something new on a menu in Disney World, and this week, we found a new addition at Columbia Harbour House in Magic Kingdom. Come along with us to try it out!
When checking the Mobile Order menu, I spotted the Boston Cream Pie at Columbia Harbour House for $5.99! This restaurant previously had a Boston Cream Pie on the menu back in 2018, but this one is different than its predecessor.
It’s made with vanilla cake layered with vanilla cream, chocolate popping candies, and crisp pearls. It’s all topped with fudge icing and a cherry. It’s layered together kind of like a trifle, and served in a tiny plastic cup.
When I picked it up, the Cast Member at the counter warned me that it was delicious, but I underestimated just how GOOD it would be. The chocolate frosting on top is more like a thick, creamy ganache, and the rich, sweet, chocolatey flavor really blew me away.
The cake inside was light and fluffy, and the cool vanilla flavor of the cake and cream balanced well with the chocolate. The popping candies added a really interesting textural element that may not be for everyone, but I thoroughly enjoyed! Ultimately, I would highly recommend this dessert.
If you’re not a fan of really rich or sweet treats, you may want to stay away from this, but for all you chocolate lovers out there, it’s a must-try! This might get added to my regular rotation of Magic Kingdom treats.

I just had this today! Couldn’t take any photos or videos of it due to dying phone battery, but well worth it.

This looks SO GOOD!!! One of my all-time favorite Disney desserts was the Boston Cream Parfait they had at 50’s Prime Time years ago. I was heartbroken when they took it off the menu. I hope this sticks around long enough for me to be able to try it!
