We hear it all the time.
“It doesn’t matter where I stay at Disney World! I’m only at the hotel to sleep.” Well, that might be true for a lot of folks, but Disney World hotels are about more than just sleeping. It can be about theming, proximity to your favorite parks, and of course — the PERKS. There are a few experiences that are only available to Deluxe Resort guests, and for many folks (us included), it makes that higher price point WORTH IT. One of those experiences? Extended Evening Hours (EEH)! EEH allow Deluxe Resort Guests to stay in select parks for a few extra hours after all the other guests leave, allowing for SUPER low wait times. Now, Extended Evening Hours for Animal Kingdom have officially arrived at Disney World Deluxe Hotels!
Extended Evening Hours began at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on November 8th for limited dates throughout the end of 2023. Deluxe Resort guests are able to stay in the park from 7-9PM on November 8th and 22nd, and December 4th and 28th, 2023.
So, if you’re staying at a Deluxe Hotel, you’ll be able to hang around in Animal Kingdom after hours, and even experience the following attractions:
- Avatar: Flight of Passage
- TriceraTop Spin
- It’s Tough To Be A Bug
- DINOSAUR
- Expedition Everest
- Navi River Journey
- Character Experience at Adventurers Outpost
And there you have it! What do you say? Will you be hanging out nocturnal animal style? We’ll continue to keep you updated with more Disney news as we have it, so make sure to follow along for more so that you never miss a thing and are always in the loop.

I attended an extending evening nite at Magic Kindgom and the park was anything but empty. People already in the park make sure there in a ride line when the park closes so they don’t have to leave. So our hours were 10-12 and the wait time on a lot of rides were 40 minutes long. I don’t see how this is a benefit unless u just want to walk around the park.

I don’t like that it’s just for guests staying at the Deluxe Resorts. There was a time that no matter which Disney property you stayed on you either got extra early hours or extra night hours. That’s just one more thing that was stripped away! To bring it back just for the Deluxe seems like a class war!

This perk should apply to all onsite property !

I agree. A Disney guest is any guest on any property and campground! Resort perks are getting fewer and fewer. Hard to justify the price point of any Disney resort anymore

I’m sure this works well for many, but I’d rather have extra hours in the morning. If I’m staying at a Disney resort, let me in 2 hours before anyone else. Just my 2 cents.
