The Disney parks look a LOT different around this time of the year!
At Disneyland, we noticed some holiday decorations were up last month in preparation for the holiday season. Now, the holiday decor has spread to even more areas of Disneyland AND Disney California Adventure. Let’s take a look at some of the theming that can be found all over the Disneyland Resort!
From wreaths to ribbons to garlands with ornaments, Disney parks are certainly feeling festive. Both parks are technically ahead of schedule, as Disneyland Resort’s holiday season runs from November 10th through January 7th, 2024. While the decorating may not yet be complete, it’s worth taking a quick look at some of these changes!
Over at Walt Disney’s original park, we noticed a little bit of holiday decoration in front of Main Street, U.S.A.’s Disneyland Railroad station. A consistent theme we noticed during our time seeing the new decorations is that so far they are fairly modest. We do expect that to pick up as we get closer to the holiday season officially beginning at the parks.
Over on Main Street, U.S.A., Emporium is getting in on the holly, jolly season with some decorations above the Emporium sign.
Over in Critter Country, we saw more significant change. At Pooh Corner, garlands with ribbon and ornaments adorn the charming sign above the door.
Pooh Bear got even more of the festive treatment at The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Featuring more of a woodland color scheme, the entrance to the ride queue boasts an added holiday charm.
Here’s a closer look at this woodland-inspired holiday decor on the light posts next to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. The theming is certainly more rustic than the rest of the park!
Hungry Bear Restaurant is getting a little holiday TLC! The Critter Country staple is looking even greener than usual!
In Fantasyland, we noticed several attractions with a bit of garland or some small decorations over the queues. Some of those rides include Pinocchio’s Daring Journey, Snow White’s Enchanted Wish, and Peter Pan’s Flight.
Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure is looking more festive these days! The street traded pumpkins for ribbons while adding wreaths and garlands.
Staying on Buena Vista Street, Elias & Company has had a few decorations added to its facade. Garnished with a few bells, garlands, and wreaths, the popular Disney shop is home to men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing as well as Jewelry.
The newly opened San Fransokyo Square is adding its own unique holiday flair with Japanese and Northern Californian-inspired ornaments and decorations!
Above Aunt Cass Café is some more garland with softer, pastel-themed decorations that tie together the rest of the resort’s theming with the unique style happening at San Fransokyo Square.
Along with decorations, we also saw some Festival of Holidays booths being prepped to open. This booth, Grandma’s Recipes, can be found next to Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! in Hollywood Land. This booth in particular will feature Barbacoa Tamal de Res with Oaxaca cheese, tomatillo salsa, and crema. It also has a new drink this year in the Berry Pomegranate Paloma.
We expect the Disneyland Resort to continue to add to its holiday decor and will keep you posted on all the latest Disneyland news, right here at DFB!
