We are SO EXCITED for Disney World’s upcoming holiday events! It really is the most wonderful time of the year!
If you’re like us, you’re eager to get to the parks and partake in the holiday festivities. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom is a prime event if you’re looking for the quintessential Disney holiday party. With that said, attending an event like this isn’t all warm fuzzies and good vibes. Tickets for the event range from $149-189 per child and $159-199 per adult, which can be an incredibly costly addition to your already expensive Disney World vacation. Fortunately, we’re here to remind you that there are some things that you can get FOR FREE if you are attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!
Cookies and Drinks
If you and your family are in the mood for a quick snack and warm drink, you’re in luck! Included in the price of admission to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party are cookies and hot cocoa!  In the past, we’ve also seen hot chocolate, apple cider, and eggnog! Keep in mind that you won’t be able to grab these free snacks just anywhere in Magic Kingdom. There will be designated areas throughout the park where you can grab these complementary items, so be sure to know those locations for when you get a rumbly in your tumbly!
Photos
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas will provide attendees the opportunity to take pictures with Disney characters in their finest holiday outfits! Guests will receive exclusive Disney PhotoPass opportunities, which could absolutely serve as free souvenirs. Make sure you wear some of your favorite holiday attire and strike a fun pose to make these lifelong memories extra special!
Access to Attractions Without Genie+
If you’re more focused on getting on rides than you are watching a fireworks show or attending a dance party, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will still be a great time! Many attractions will be open during the event and some could even have much shorter wait times! Some rides will even feature holiday overlays, including Space Mountain and the Jungle Cruise. If you want to save money by not purchasing a separate ticket to enjoy the park before the event starts, you can still enjoy these rides FOR FREE, as access is included in your Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party ticket. No Genie+ required!
Free Souvenirs
While nothing has been definitively announced, Disney in the past has treated partygoers with some complimentary souvenirs. Just last year, we were given a 50th Anniversary Keepsake Party ornament at the beginning of the party over in Tomorrowland Terrace, and we also received a Party souvenir poster as we were leaving the park! We’ll be sure to let you know of any free souvenir hotspots if we hear of them, and we also recommend exploring Magic Kingdom to potentially find a special gift of your own!

Peter Pan fan says
Wish they would do something
My other than the snickerdoodle cookie (ugh)… the cookie is always the worst.
Mary says
For the ornament, do they hand that out when you walk into the park, or do you have to go look for them once you’re in? Thanks for the info
DFB Gigi says
Hi Mary! Last year they were handing them to us as we first entered the party.
