There are lots of traditional holiday eats that we love, but now we’re going to a festival booth that’s adding a little TWIST!
It’s officially time for the 2023 Disney California Adventure Festival of Holidays! This festival lasts from now through January 7th, 2024, and it brings lots of tasty eats and drinks to the park. Wondering just what you can eat at the Twist on Tradition booth? Well, we’ve checked it out and now we’re sharing our FULL thoughts.
Menu
Over at the Twist on Tradition booth, you’ll find a variety of available items. The menu includes one mac and cheese dish and a couple of drinks, including a brand-new margarita.
Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself!
Eats
First up, we grabbed Savory Kugel Mac & Cheese with herb breadcrumbs, sour cream, and chives. This new snack costs $8.50.
This mac & cheese dish is SO creamy! That sour cream is definitely giving it an extra creamy boost. It’s very rich and savory. And the chives aren’t just for looks; they add a nice accent to the cheesy flavor.
Drinks
There’s one returning drink and one new one this year. The new drink is the Glacier Margarita, which is made with blanco tequila, blue curaçao, coconut and rosemary syrups, and white cranberry and lime juices garnished with champagne bubbles candy. It costs $16.
This fun alcoholic drink is very sweet and fruity! The rosemary syrup was not a big part of this drink, we didn’t notice it at all. The flavors at the forefront of this margarita are the coconut and lime. And the fun “champagne” bubbles candy are actually little gumdrops. We love how photogenic it is and we would consider this one of the best of the fest!
The returning drink is the Guava-Melon Lassi, which we LOVED last year! This is a non-alcoholic drink made with guava nectar, rock melon syrup, yogurt, and honey garnished with cinnamon whipped cream and honey-flavored cereal. It costs $7.50.
Last year, we thought that the melon and guava flavors were deliciously sweet, while the yogurt and cinnamon whipped cream cut through the sweetness and added a great depth of flavor.
OVERALL
We would highly recommend this booth! From the mac & cheese to one of our best of the fest picks –the Glacier Margarita– we would wait in line at this booth, for sure. If you don’t care for sweet drinks or rich meals, then this might not be your jam. But both of those things sound great to you, stop by this booth to give it a try.
That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from!
