We’re getting closer to seeing Summer House on the Lake FINALLY open at Disney Springs, and now new details have been revealed!
We’ve been updating you on the progress of the upcoming new restaurant to debut at Disney Springs for what feels like forever, and now we’ve got new details to share with you about the menu, interior, new offerings, and what makes this location different from the rest!
We’ve got NEW details about the upcoming Summer House on the Lake restaurant opening this winter at Disney Springs in Disney World. At their newest location, Summer House on the Lake will debut the restaurant’s first-ever “Cookie Bar,” a signature Rosé Cart, and more.
The California-inspired restaurant joins the ranks of the other 3 existing locations in Chicago, Illinois; North Bethesda, Maryland’ and Las Vegas, Nevada, and is expected to open this winter. We now have MORE details to share about four exciting things we have to look forward to at Summer House on the Lake.
The Cookie Bar
The Disney Springs location for the brand will feature the first-ever “Cookie Bar,” front and center right at the restaurant’s entrance. It’s expected to serve a variety of the restaurant’s oversized cookies, bars, and other sweet treats in popular flavors like Sea Salt Chocolate Chip, Birthday Cake, Oatmeal Scotchie, Apple Oatmeal, and Vegan Snickerdoodle, along with a few rotating seasonal flavors.
The bar will also offer a selection of coffee, wine, draft beer, and specialty cocktails like the Tropical Dreams with vodka, Pamplemousse liqueur, and habanero honey which will also be available to take to-go as you stroll Disney Springs or enjoy while you dine at the restaurant. If you wish, bottles of the restaurant’s own private-label wine, Summer House Rosé, will be available to purchase as well.
Rosé Cart and Summery Sips
Their Rosé Cart will offer more than six varieties of rosé by the glass or bottle, including the restaurant’s signature Summer House Rosé. The Summer House Rosé stands as the star of the rosé program, “offering a delicate and floral taste with tart cherries and watermelon, complementary to the lively and fresh menu and representative of the restaurant’s overall beverage approach.”
Additionally, a selection of spritzes, summery cocktails (including zero-proof options), fresh juices, and a largely California-sourced wine list will add to the West Coast vibes.
Cali-Mex Weekend Brunch
The restaurant’s West Coast-inspired menu will feature “celebrated favorites and signature items exclusive to Disney Springs.” Brunch will be served on Saturday & Sunday from 9AM to 3PM, with meals including options from Mexican Hash Browns, Breakfast Pizza with applewood bacon, a sunny-side-up egg with parmesan cream, and Breakfast Tostadas. Pancakes, waffles, salads, and sandwiches will also be available to choose from, along with a selection of other items from the lunch and dinner menus.
Diners can also expect seasonal salads, artisan pizzas, and entrees like Herbed Chicken Paillard and local Grouper Fish ‘n’ Chips with malt vinegar fries and tartar sauce. Summer House on the Lake will offer a separate kid’s menu available all day – with a choice of vegetables or fries on the side.
California-Cool Design
The design of the restaurant is meant to evoke the cool breeze of a summer day indoors, welcoming its diners to enjoy “sweeping views and a relaxing lakeside breeze.” The restaurant will host three bars, a dining room with a light, airy feel centered around a robust tree reaching upward toward the skylight, and the greenery spread throughout the restaurant was designed in collaboration with the Rockwell Group.
Summer House on the Lake will offer both freestanding tables and banquette seating making it an ideal option to dine for families and large groups. Additionally, an iconic centerpiece of each Summer House location that brings them all together is planned to be included at Summer House on the Lake in the form of a bright blue “YES” sign located in the dining room. Symbolizing a completely seamless experience of the entire staff working in unison to craft a seamless dining experience for everyone who steps through their doors.
All of these recently released details make us very eager to check out Summer House on the Lake later this year when the doors at their Disney Springs location finally open!
