A trip to Walt Disney World can get EXPENSIVE, and fast.
When it comes to cutting costs for a trip, a lot of people start with taking away dining experiences. Now, We are ALL FOR doing Disney on a budget, but what if we told you that it was possible to eat at a lot of your favorite restaurants WITHOUT paying the restaurant prices? It looks like it’s time to let y’all in on a little secret.
Eat at a Disney World Lounge! When it comes to lounges, you get a lot of what you could get at a sit-down restaurant, but for less! Now, this isn’t going to be as cheap as going to your favorite quick service stop (we’re looking at you, Pecos Bill’s), but it is a step down from the prices you’ll be paying at a sit down meal.
One of the best parts about eating at a Disney World Lounge is that you don’t need a reservation! However, it is first come first serve, so plan accordingly and have a backup plan in mind for your mid-day meal if things don’t work out.
Space 220 Lounge
Space 220 Lounge is located in EPCOT with the Space 220 restaurant! Eating at this lounge gives you the luxury of being able to dine in space– but without the price tag. A normal meal at Space 220 can range from $55 to $79 depending on the time of day, so make it a point to check out the lounge!
When dining at this lounge, you can order food off of the menu, a la carte! This can be a great way to save and still have this experience, because the Space 220 restaurant serves a multi-course, fixed-price menu only. The lounge’s “flight bite” menu ranges from $12.00 to $20.00 and their specialty cocktails can range anywhere from $16.00 to $20.00.

Tambu Lounge
Tambu Lounge is located next to ‘Ohana at the Polynesian Village Resort! We love this lounge for the atmosphere, vibes and the ability to get some of ‘Ohanas menu items if you play your cards right! While not on the menu, we found that if you ask nicely, you’re able to get the ‘Ohana Noodles and the Bread Pudding!
Their lounge menu has prices that vary from $13.00 to $18.00 for appetizers and their specialty cocktails can range from $15.00 to $18.00. This lounge is open from 4 PM to 10 PM daily, so be sure to stop in and check it out!

Scat Cat’s Club
We love the energy this lounge gives us. Scat Cat’s Club is a New Orleans style lounge that is complete with jazz music and all of the right vibes. It is located at Port Orleans French Quarter and is open daily from 5 PM to 10 PM.
We love the atmosphere, but the prices aren’t anything to scoff at either. Their appetizers are priced anywhere between $10.00 to $16.00 and their specialty cocktails range from $14.50 to 16.50. Those prices are sure to please if you’re looking for a sit down option that isn’t too expensive!

California Grill Lounge
The California Grill is a great dining experience at the Contemporary Resort. Did you know that they have a lounge, too? Well they do! Since reopening, California Grill has changed to a pre-fixe menu for guests. However, they do also have a lounge! When you dine at the lounge, you can still use your receipt to get specialty viewing for the fireworks show, so we think its a win-win… for you.
Their appetizers can range from $17.00 to $29.00 and their specialty cocktails clock anywhere between $17.00 and $138.00. Don’t worry, there is only one $138.00 cocktail on the menu, so you have plenty to choose from!

Steakhouse 71 Lounge
We’re gonna stay at the Contemporary for this one, y’all. We couldn’t end this list without talking about Steakhouse 71. This Lounge is a fan favorite for us here at DFB, especially when it comes to their menu. They have one of our FAVORITE burgers, The Stack Burger! On top of that, their lounge pricing is very fair!
Their lounge is open from 12 PM to 11 PM, so you have a huge window to go and enjoy what they have to offer. Their appetizers range from $10.00 to $23.00 and their specialty cocktails range from $13.50 to $28.00! When it comes to dining at the top of the Contemporary resort, this is SO worth it for us!
