There are so many great reasons to visit Disney World’s resort hotels.
From elaborately-themed lobbies and gift shops, to the cafes, and restaurants, and the delicious cuisine in which you can indulge — it’s safe to say that these hotels have much to offer. The best part? You don’t have to book at a room at any of these hotels to visit — you can just drop by for a few minutes to shop, grab coffee, or even check out the table-service restaurants. Speaking of which… some of our FAVORITE restaurants at Disney World can be found in the hotels. We’re going to one beloved restaurant today, and we’re taking you with us. It takes us to one of Disney’s Deluxe Resorts near EPCOT…
If you guessed that we are headed to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, then you are correct! Yacht Club is themed to a vintage New England yacht club and is located just a short walk away from EPCOT — right on Crescent Lake.
Throughout the lobby and hotel rooms, you’ll find nautical touches, and you’ll also find those nautical touches and elaborate New England theming at Yachtsman Steakhouse.
Here, you’ll dine underneath pine beams and surrounded by portrait windows to take in the views of the lake and scenery outdoors. You’ll be able to try seafood and steak that have been cooked to perfection on the restaurant’s oak-fired grill, while also getting to try upscale American dishes — like Truffle Mac and Cheese. This restaurant serves dinner only, which will cost on average between $34 and $59.99 per adult.
This restaurant is really special, as it is one of Disney’s Signature Dining locations. These restaurants and eateries are the finest dining available on property and provide an experience that’s more luxurious than your typical theme park restaurant. You’ll be greeted with world-class hospitality and dine on gourmet menu items prepared by award-winning chefs.
There are some Signature Dining locations within the theme parks, and those restaurants allow visitors to wear their traditional theme park attire — so that they don’t have to worry about changing into fancier clothes in the middle of their park day. (There are a few exceptions to this rule, like Monsieur Paul and Tekumi Tei in EPCOT.) However, the Signature Dining restaurants in the hotels are much different, and do have a formal dress code.
Per Disney’s website, Yachtsman Steakhouse “is a Disney Signature Dining experience offering fine dining with a distinctly magical flair. Guests are expected to dress accordingly in attire that respects the restaurant’s sophisticated and upscale aesthetic. Clothing should be clean, neat and in good condition. Please no swimwear.”
So, what does this mean? For ladies, we’d recommend wearing a simple but smart dress, or a skirt paired with a blouse. You could even opt for a jumpsuit or a romper! If you wear jeans, make sure they are without rips and just be sure to pair them with a more formal blouse. For the fellas, they can wear khakis and a polo or slacks and a button-down.
And there you have it! We’ll continue to keep you all updated with more Disney news and advice, including restaurant dress codes. Make sure to follow along for more so that you’re always in the loop and never miss a thing.
