Most Disney World fans know just how often we need to be prepared for change — especially these days!
Nearly everywhere you look something new or refurbished is on the way — from hotels to restaurants, attractions, and more. It’s exciting but it’s also a lot to keep up with, which is why we take care of the hard work for you.
We take a look at permits recently filed by Disney to get an idea of what might be in store for the parks and more, and here’s what we found this time around.
Magic Kingdom
Changes could soon come to Be Our Guest restaurant in Magic Kingdom according to a new permit we found! From what we can tell, it’s for “general construction” which means it could be major updates or minor updates going on here soon. We’ll let you know of any changes that could impact your visit.
A few different Monorail hubs will be getting some electrical upgrades soon according to several permits we found. It’s unclear whether or not this will impact the Monorail, but for now we haven’t seen any closures listed on the Disney World website.
We’ll let you know if that changes.
EPCOT
Over in EPCOT, a new permit has been filed for work in the China Pavilion. The description is for “general construction” so we’ll be on the lookout for any updates in this area.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is getting some attention to “remove pull stations, update firmware” and more minor updates. It’s possible that there won’t be any downtime for the ride, though, as there are no closures currently listed on the Disney World website.
We’ll let you know if that changes!
Disney World Hotels
Quite a few of the Saratoga Springs Treehouses will be under construction according to a handful of permits we found. The treehouses with numbers 7035, 7039, 7058, and 7060 have had permits filed for general construction.
