Have you spent time in Disneyland’s brand-new land?!
San Fransokyo Square opened up on August 31st in Disney California Adventure. It’s themed to Disney’s Big Hero 6 movie, with updated restaurants, gift shops, and character meet-and-greets. And we just spotted two new additions that you have to know about! Let’s check them out!
Over at Port of San Fransokyo Cervecería in San Fransokyo Square in Disney California Adventure, we picked up the Gyoza Sausage Bun for $8.99.
This is a Steamed Bun with Ground Pork and Vegetables, and it’s served with a Chili-Soy Dipping Sauce. (It reminds us of the Gyoza Bun at Tokyo Disney Sea!)
The steamed bun was warm with a sticky texture and had a sweet-ish taste to it. The sauce has a bit of a sweet soy sauce flavor but it was mostly a strong chili spice. We loved it!
The sauce is KEY here, because the pork and veg in the bun don’t have a ton of flavor on their own.
For the price, this is a good, hearty option if you’ve been really hoping that Disneyland would bring in some Gyoza. However, if you don’t dip it in the sauce, it is a bit of a bland treat, so keep that in mind when ordering.
Also, While we were in the area, we noticed that the Port of San Fransokyo had a brand new sign all lit up.
Just one more touch that makes the area even more immersive. Stay tuned to DFB for more updates on all the latest Disney news!
