Go to Disney World enough times, and you’ll quickly find out that not everything is magical.
And we’re talking about everything — the crowds, the heat, the wait times, the most random Florida weather. The list can go on and on, but let’s narrow things down a bit. Let’s talk about a couple of the nasty “challenges” you’ll face in Disney World!
Let’s waste no time and dive right in!
The Reality of Orlando
Most of the time Florida is basically paradise. You don’t have to worry about snow or harsh weather. You can almost guarantee that you’ll be seeing sunny weather. But that’s not exactly the whole story. You almost want to insert a comment here that goes like, “With great power (great weather for Florida) comes great …” and that’s what we mean.
The reality is that for most of the year, at least 10 months of it, Orlando is really, REALLY hot and HUMID. You’re basically guaranteed to start sweating profusely by your third step outside. This is why we’re always recommending that you have your hydration and sun protection game on lock. If you come to Disney World from March to November, just remember that you’re going to feel the heat and humidity.
That’s Just Uncivilized
Now, let’s chat about our fellow Disney-goers. Most of the time, they are awesome, but you will encounter a small group that seems to have left all their manners at home.
You’ll find trash on tables, babies getting changed in spots you’d never believe, and other things you can’t even imagine — it’s like the uncivilized edition of the Most Magical Place on Earth. The trick here is to keep your cool, focus on the good stuff (you’re on vacation at Disney World!), and let the fun and excitement overshadow those not-so-magical moments.
That Second Virtual Queue Drop
With park hopping coming back, you’d better believe that the “battle” for the second virtual queue drop is going to be even more intense.
As you know, the slots are limited, so the best advice we have is to stay on your toes, plan your day wisely, and try to have fun with the challenge. Navigating the virtual queue is already drama, so try to lighten things up and keep having fun.
Hogging Up the Quick Service Lines
Park hopping isn’t the only thing coming back in January. The Disney Dining Plan is also making a return. So let’s give you a picture of the next challenge you’re surely going to face. So, you’re hungry and standing in line at a quick-service joint, and the folks in front are holding up the line because they’re trying to decode the Disney Dining Plan like it’s some cryptic message. *Insert massive delays here.*
This is the perfect situation for you to whip out your phone and make use of Mobile Order. Skip all of that drama and slow down. That way you can have as hassel-free of a meal as possible. Maybe throw in a dessert, too!

The crowds at MK are insane! It’s totally ridiculous and not worth the wait. This is not worth it with the way people have been acting in the parks the past few years you can only imagine the dangerous possibilities that could arise with this severe overcrowding and it can not be safe in case of an emergency.
