There are many airlines to choose from when booking vacation flights.
Breeze Airways is one airline company that has more recently thrown its name into the large options of airlines. It was launched in 2021 with the purpose of serving U.S. cities that did not receive service from larger companies. Now, the low-cost airline is expanding its horizons.
Breeze Airways is looking to expand to international destinations such as parts of Europe. According to Reuters, more airlines are seeking international routes which have higher yields. Turns out Breeze Airways is also looking to take advantage of “peak season” travel to places like Ireland.
Currently, the company is awaiting flag carrier approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Breeze just recently began service from Plattsburgh, New York where many travelers from Montreal, Canada look for flight options.
The carrier is also taking advantage of locations where other airlines are cutting service, such as in Burlington, Vermont where JetBlue Airways Corp is cutting service and Breeze is starting in January.
Breeze Airways is ready to take advantage of other companies’ losses and cuts. “These pockets of pain that are being created, because either there is no air service there, it’s gone away completely, or it’s just regional planes going to hubs, has created hundreds and hundreds of market opportunities for us,” said Chief Executive David Neeleman.
Breeze will be an airline company to watch out for in the future. Until then, keep following DFB for more travel news!
