Alright, you Disney World snackers, the time has come to lay out the best snacks to try in 2024!
We’ve put together a list of 24(!!) snacks that you need to hunt down and taste on your 2024 Disney World trip. Trust us, these won’t leave you disappointed. Some are located in the parks while others don’t require you to have a park ticket to try. So let’s get started!
We’ve got a long list of epic portions! We’re starting with the don’t-miss, on-the-go breakfast items you can find around Disney World.
Breakfast
Pancake Sandwich
The Pancake Sandwich can be found at multiple quick-service locations around Animal Kingdom. Check Drinkwalla, Pongu Pongu, and Trek Snacks for this breakfast sandwich. It is sausage, guava paste, egg, and cheese inside a thick pancake-like biscuit!
It’s a lot like a sausage and egg biscuit you could find at a fast food restaurant. But the guava jam adds another element of flavor and adds some sweetness.
Breakfast Totchos
Breakfast Totchos have become popular thanks to Woody’s Lunch Box at Hollywood Studios. But now you can find them in even more locations! Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery at Animal Kingdom and many of the value resort food courts now offer them.
The best version of these is still the Woody’s Lunch Box ones, but the others are great, too! Woody’s has smoked brisket and country gravy, while the others are loaded with scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, sausage gravy, and bacon.
Waffle Platter
Over in Hollywood Studios, at Hollywood Scoops, you can find a yummy Mickey-shaped blueberry waffle platter topped with whipped cream and syrup.
For around $9.50 we’ll grab these Mickey waffles any day!
Ronto Morning Wrap
The original Ronto Wrap you can grab for lunch and dinner comes in a breakfast variety at Ronto Roasters in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. It’s a pita filled with scrambled eggs, grilled pork sausage, shredded cheese, and peppercorn sauce.
It is a filling and savory breakfast item.
Next, we’re headed to Disney Springs to see what seasonal goodies they have for us in 2024!
Seasonal Snacks in Disney Springs
Cookies of the Month at Gideon’s Bakehouse
Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs comes out with monthly cookie and cake slice options. These are creative and unique takes on cookies. They are bursting with flavors and are anything but “normal.”
These are worth the trip to Disney Springs to try out what they’re baking up!
Dole Whip Flights at Swirls on the Water
The Dole Whip flight options at Swirls on the Water in Disney Springs are regularly rotated out for different incoming flavors. While they usually include the Dole Whip Pineapple and Vanilla Swirl, the other two options are swapped out to go with the season.
We’ve seen some pretty great options here in 2023 like Dole Whip watermelon, Dole Whip lime, and even a Hocus Pocus-themed trio!
Seasonal Doughnuts at Everglazed
Everglazed Doughnuts and Cold Brew is a great spot for gourmet doughnut flavors. You can find several flavors year-round here but you can also catch new, seasonal flavors as well.
Not only do they rotate the doughnuts with the season, but also iconic events going on (like the Taylor Swift doughnut)!
Monthly Ice Cream at Salt and Straw
Salt and Straw is similar to Gideon’s Bakehouse in that they swap out their specialty flavors each month!
Salt and Straw even offered Don Bugito’s Creepy Crawly Critters ice cream made with matcha ice cream, coconut candied meal worms, and chocolate-covered crickets. Yep. There were real bugs in our ice cream (on purpose).
There are so many great options for kids (of all ages) in Disney World! We’ve picked out a few that we think most kids would enjoy.
For the Kids
Wookie Cookie
Also at Hollywood Studios, you can get a Wookie Cookie, complete with a chocolate sash. You can grab this cookie at Backlot Express.
The Wookie Cookie is two oatmeal cookies sandwiched with a vanilla cream filling and then garnished with a chocolate piece to replicate Chewbacca’s sash. It’s very soft and chewy. It’s one of our favorites! (But a word of warning– the chocolate sash melts quickly in the sun!)
Lunch Box Tarts
Not only does Woody’s Lunch Box have the best Breakfast Totchos in Disney World, but they also have Lunch Box Tarts! These are fancy takes on the popular Poptart treat you could find at Walmart or your local grocery store.
Goofy’s Glaciers
Back over in Disney Springs, you’ll find Goofy’s Glaciers at Goofy’s Candy Co. This treat is not often talked about, but it is great, especially for kids!
Mix and match the fruity flavors of icee-like frozen drinks for a fun snack.
Tie Dye Cheesecake
This funky and delicious cheesecake can be found at Everything POP inside Disney’s Pop Century Resort. It’s been around since 2003 and certainly fits the groovy vibes at Pop Century.
Yes, it does look like Play-Doh, but it’s actually really creamy and rich with flavor! The cheesecake sits on top of a red velvet crust that makes it even better. Kids would love to eat this colorful dessert.
But who said snacks JUST have to be food? There are so many delicious drinks around Disney World that you can get either with or without alcohol!
Drinks
Frozen Viking Coffee
The Frozen Viking Coffee is an alcoholic drink in EPCOT at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in the Norway Pavilion. It is Baileys Irish Cream, Kamora Coffee Liqueur, Coffee-chocolate sauce, and garnished on top with a coffee-chocolate crunch.
The Frozen Viking Coffee is (obviously) boozy, but if you’re looking for a non-alcoholic option then try Kristoff Kaffe–it’s essentially the same thing without the alcohol.
Tipsy Ducks in Love
As the name, Tipsy Ducks in Love, implies, this is an alcoholic drink with bourbon, black tea, coffee, cream, and chocolate. You can get it in the China Pavilion at the Joy of Tea kiosk.
You can get the non-tipsy ducks version by asking for no bourbon. Either way, it is a smooth, creamy, and refreshing drink.
Cold Brew Black Caf
Back in Hollywood Studios, you can get the Cold Brew Black Caf in Galaxy’s Edge at Kat Saka’s Kettle. This is a dark chocolate-style cold brew coffee with sweet cream cheese and chocolate puffs on top!
You can also ask for this to be spiked! They’ll add Godiva Chocolate Liqueur to it which actually makes it a little sweeter. Normally, this is on the bitter side with the dark chocolate and cold brew flavors as the stand out.
If you prefer grabbing larger snacks that you can share, you’ll want to check out these options!
Shareable Snacks
French Fries topped with Pulled Pork and Cheese
These loaded (and we mean LOADED) fries can be found in Animal Kingdom at Flame Tree Barbecue. They had gone away for a while, but they are back!
They have large amounts of pulled pork and cheese on top and are very filling. You can keep them all for yourself or share them for a little lighter option.
Churros at Nomad Lounge
Nomad Lounge at Animal Kingdom offers a sit-down option for your busy day in the parks. Their churros here are crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle–as churros should be.
They’re served with two dipping sauces– vanilla crema and strawberry-guava sauce. Nomad Lounge usually accepts a walk-up waitlist, so trying these is definitely an option.
Indian-Style Bread Service
Heading over to the Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge, we HAVE to talk about the Indian-style bread Service at Sanaa.
This bread service is amazing. While the Sanaa restaurant generally requires a reservation, you can also get the bread service at Sanaa Lounge which is a first come, first served lounge next to the main restaurant. You get five different breads and nine accompaniments. It’s wonderful.
‘Ohana Bread Pudding
At another popular hotel, Disney’s Polynesian Resort, you need to try the ‘Ohana Bread Pudding. This is usually at the ‘Ohana restaurant, but you can typically as your server at Tambu Lounge for it.
The bread pudding is a warm pineapple bread with caramel sauce, and you may or may not get ice cream with it at the lounge.
A few new dining locations are opening up in Disney World in 2024 (or opened at the very end of 2023). Based on other locations these restaurants (and snack stand) have, we know they’re going to be worth trying!
New Dining
Tandoori Chicken Poutine
A new Indian-inspired restaurant, eet by Maneet Chauhan, just opened up in Disney Springs! They serve many delicious foods with an Indian take on them. But our favorite here is the Tandoori Chicken Poutine.
The poutine has chaat masala fries, tandoori chicken, white cheddar curds, and a rich tomato butter sauce. This poutine may be our favorite in all of Disney World.
The Cookie Jar
Not yet open in Disney Springs is the Summer House on the Lake. At this new airy, beach house-style restaurant, we’ll be able to visit the dessert-focused market called The Cookie Jar!
You’ll be able to purchase freshly baked cookies and pastries at this yummy market. You might find some of their popular flavors such as sea salt chocolate chip, birthday cake, oatmeal scotchie, apple oatmeal, and vegan Snickerdoodle.
The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers
The Cake Bake Shop has had a delayed opening, but it will FINALLY be opening in 2024! You’ll be able to find decadent cakes here worth indulging in.
We actually tried some of her cake at one of her Indiana locations, and we’ll just say that the shop at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn needs to hurry up and open!
Pickle Corndog
Sadly, we recently learned that the Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs stand (also at the Boardwalk resort) has been delayed to open now in 2024. We can’t wait to try their famous and unique take on corn dogs. One that has been confirmed for the Disney World location is the Pickle Corndog.
These corndogs have taken the West Coast by storm over at Downtown Disney in Disneyland and we’re excited to have them in Disney World!
Mexican Street Corndog
The Mexican Street Corndog is another option at the Blue Ribbon Corndog stand that has been confirmed for the Disney World location.
A few other menu items at the stand include lemonade, strawberry lemonade, and freshly spun cotton candy. This stand will fit right in at the Boardwalk.
