It’s not uncommon to see hotels around the Orlando area be renovated to keep things fresh and new.
Lots of Disney World hotels are being renovated right now, some so much so that it’s a little difficult to walk around (we’re looking at you Grand Floridian). However, if you’re heading to Orlando soon and looking for somewhere off-property but close by to stay, this hotel has just gone under extensive renovations!
The Waldorf Astoria Orlando hotel has now completed their resort-wide renovations. These renovations began earlier this year by Parker Torres Design, and now can be seen in the whole floor-to-ceiling reimagining.
The new design accentuates the resort’s unique geographical position, which is located within the 482-acre Bonnet Creek Nature Preserve.
This renovation is the largest to happen to the property since 2009, and it’s currently the only Waldorf Astoria hotel in Florida.
Guests can expect to see the new design, culinary concepts, and amenities throughout the following areas of the resort:
- Lobby
- Peacock Alley
- Bull & Bear
- Guestrooms & Suites
- The Waldorf Astoria cSpa
- Waldorf Astoria Golf Course
- Meetings & Events Spaces
Be sure to keep this hotel in mind if you’re looking for a luxurious stay while you explore what Orlando has to offer. As always, stay tuned to DFB for all the latest news.

Waldorf looks beautiful! We are DVC members- just stayed at Boulder Ridge Wilderness Lodge- newly renovated room- NO more table and 2 chairs! We took our take out supper to Walt’s Train room to eat at a table with chairs- very full and fireplace broken! Christmas week? What a shame! We love sitting in there but that kind of spoils the experience. Also coffee maker in room- NO coffee mugs as supposed to have- not even paper disposable cups! Only 3 plastic cups, 2 plates , 3 bowls for a 3 night stay! 1st & 2nd floor ice machines are out of order- 1 sign on 1 of them! 3 rd floor ice machine works! What is happening here?!!
