Okay, so it’s no secret at this point that we go to McDonald’s A LOT.
We love McDonald’s
Yes, we spent a lot of time, money, and stomach space to trying to collect all the Disney100 Happy Meal toys at one point (and we did it for the Disney World 50th anniversary toys, too). We’ve even been to CosMC’s. We’ve also been getting those adult Happy Meals in hopes of landing all the character figures, and today, we got the rarest one!
So there are a total of six character figures you can get in all — they’re these cute little McNugget Buddy characters with outfits inspired by Kerwin Frost. But there’s one McBuddy we thought was just a myth — a rare Golden Nugget — that is, until we got one.
There it is!
So, what’s the big deal about the Golden Nugget? Well, it’s super rare, but it’s also gold and comes with a card that says, “Golden like the arches, golden like the fries, golden like the edges on McDonald’s apple pie.” What’s even wilder is that McDonald’s hasn’t even admitted that it’s real (but it is!).

These toys are already going for as high as $100 on eBay, so it’s hard to get your hands on one. Imagine our surprise when it turned up in our Happy Meal! Does that mean we should go play the lottery now or something?

Whatever it means, we were so excited that we had to share it with you plus let you know that, yes, the Golden Nugget DOES exist.

The youngest kid got one in his happy meal today. I’ve got it locked up, but with @Crumbl cookie coming out with their Wonka Cookie Special (complete with a golden ‘W’) and then this Golden Legend from The Golden Arches, I’m going to go looking for any other ‘Golden Eggs’ that Willy Wonka, McDonald’s, or others might drop soon…
