We love Early Theme Park Entry!
It really is one of the best perks you can get for staying at a Disney-owned hotel during your Disneyland visit. As it is right now, if you’re staying at any Disneyland Resort hotel, you can enter the parks a full 30 minutes before their official opening time, which means getting on those popular rides before the rest of the crowds. But REMEMBER, that policy is changing pronto!
Earlier this year, we shared the news with you that the rules of Early Theme Park Entry would be changing soon. Those changes are going into effect on January 20th, 2024.
Again, here’s what the website says:
“Starting January 20, 2024, the early entry benefit will be updated, and Guests with valid park admission and reservations who are checked in and staying at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels may take advantage of this 30-minute early entry into a designated theme park for every day of their hotel stay. Each day, either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park will be open early. Please check the theme park calendar for the schedule.”
The way that it is worded makes it sound like Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park will switch off which one has the perk for each day. Either way, guests will still get the extra 30 mins, but only at the park that has Early Entry that day.
So, if you’re planning to travel to Disneyland soon, take a look at this list so you know what’s available in each park during Early Entry:

We use to get a couple early morning pass days a year when we were annual pass holders years ago but sadly they took that away and only guests staying at their hotels get that perk now.
