Disney Cruise Line announced that a policy change for their onboard youth clubs is coming this week!

One of the perks of traveling with Disney Cruise Line for guests with children is access to the youth clubs onboard. There are several different clubs available, which are organized by age range to help ensure that the kiddos get to enjoy age-appropriate activities. If your kids are looking forward to checking out one of the youth clubs on an upcoming sailing, we’ve got an important update to share!
Disney recently announced that they are updating the age range for Disney’s Oceaneer Club and Disney’s Oceaneer Lab beginning with sailings that depart on or after December 21st, 2023.

For sailings that depart on or after December 21st, the age range in Disney’s Oceaneer Club and Disney’s Oceaneer Lab will change from 3 to 12 years of age to 3 to 10 years of age, with specially guided activities for children ages 3-4 years old.

But don’t worry, children from 11 to 12 won’t be left out! They can visit the kids club Edge, which is open to tweens from 11 to 14 years old.

And for the older kids, the club Vibe is still available for those from ages 14 to 17.

My 5 and 9 year Olds adored the Oceaneer club on the Wish. 11 and 12 does seem a little old for the content, though; it’s probably a good change.
Well, my 9yo daughter was really looking forward to the Oceaneer’s Club area. Good thing our trip is next year, from what I have seen Edge doesn’t appear to have the same level of interactive elements.
