Bad weather is a thing that happens pretty often in Florida.
It’s often unpredictable, which is why we always tell you to prepare for rain, even when the forecast calls for sunny days. Well, this time, at least we were prepared for some bad weather because of a storm forecast for the weekend, and that weather event is already closing things down at Disney World, including Blizzard Beach. Now, a Disney World party has been canceled ahead of the storm.
Thanks to DFB reader @graciegrace500 on Instagram, we’ve learned that tonight’s Jollywood Nights party in Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been canceled due to the weather. Those Disney World visitors with tickets for tonight’s event have received the following message: “While we were looking forward to seeing you this evening, forecasted thunderstorms have caused us to cancel this event.” Note the majority of this party is outside, so this totally makes sense.
The message indicates that those who held tickets for Jollywood Nights for tonight will have the cost of their tickets refunded to the payment type they used to purchase them. So, if you do have tickets for the event, you will get your money back.
We spoke with a Guest Relations Cast Member at Disney World, who confirmed the party was canceled and that refunds would be issued automatically at noon Florida time. If you purchased your tickets through a third party, go to Guest Relations anywhere in Disney World, and they’ll make sure you get the refund issued there.Â
We were also told that if you had a ticket for tonight, you could get priority booking for either upcoming party on Monday, December 18th, or Wednesday, December 20th.
Of course, this does mean that your plans for tonight have changed, but considering the weather forecast, it might be a good night to go back to your Disney World hotel early, mobile order some food, and watch some Disney+ in the comfort of your hotel room. If the weather gets REALLY bad, Cast Members will direct you on what to do.
We’ll keep an eye on the weather situation and keep you updated as more information comes in, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

Yep, was going to go. The weather ended up not being so bad. I get it, if your not from Florida the rain might be a big deal.
