We’re just a few weeks away from the Dining Plan returning to Disney World, and we’re trying to collect all the information we can before it launches!
When the Dining Plan was announced to return on January 9th, 2024, Disney World started updating its website with all the important info about how it will be used. But one section was left blank — the details about how to use the Dining Plan with concert dining packages at EPCOT!
If you’re not familiar with the EPCOT dining packages, here’s what you need to know. During each festival, EPCOT will have concerts that play in the America Gardens Theatre. During the Flower & Garden Festival and Food & Wine Festival, they’ll have Garden Rocks and Eat to the Beat, respectively, where bands and solo artists perform. During the Festival of the Holidays, the Candlelight Processional happens in the theatre nightly, and during the Festival of the Arts, it’s the Disney on Broadway Concert Series.
These performances are typically pretty popular, so if you want to make sure you get a seat during the show, Disney offers a number of dining packages at restaurants around EPCOT. You have to make a specific reservation for the package and then pay the specified cost. The package includes your meal, as well as guaranteed seating for one of the shows that evening. The price per package varies depending on which restaurant you book.
So how will this work with the Dining Plan? Reservations just opened for the Disney on Broadway dining packages for Festival of the Arts, and we now know that the credits used per dining package will VARY depending on the restaurant as well. If the restaurant is a one-credit spot (like Biergarten), then the dining package will cost one credit. If it’s a two-credit spot (like Le Cellier), then the dining package will cost you two credits.
This could be good news for those planning on visiting the one-credit restaurants. Since the prices for dining packages include your payment for the reserved seating, they usually cost a little more than a typical meal at the restaurant would. That means you might make more bang for your buck!
Previously, all dining packages at EPCOT were two-credit experiences, so this could save you some money in the long run — and some credits!

Can we still use a quick service dining credit in exchange for 3 snacks at Epcot kiosks?
DFB Gigi says
Hi Mark! Unfortunately, Walt Disney World no longer allows guests to exchange Quick Service dining credits for Snack Credits.
