If you’re a regular at the Disney Parks, then there’s a 99.9% chance you’ve seen Loungefly bags all over.
Whether you’ve seen them in the gift shops, on the backs of other park goers, or in your own luggage, Loungefly backpacks are a popular souvenir for many. What makes them so popular is that they aren’t just a fun souvenir. They’re also an adorable accessory and a great TOOL. They’re the perfect size for a great park bag — as they’re large enough to hold all of your park necessities but small enough to stow away on rides. We recommend these bags to folks all. the. time. However, there’s one instance when we suggest leaving the Loungefly at home.
Don’t bring these if you’re flying to Disney World and are hoping to fit everything into just a carry-on. If you don’t want to check any of your bags but will be visiting Disney World for a few days, leave the Loungefly behind!
Technically, you could squish the bag down to try to get it to fit into your carryon, but this will potentially damage the bag. Also, if you did fit it into the carryon, it’ll probably take up a lot of extra room.
You’re better off using a larger backpack as a personal item on the plane and then utilizing that in the parks. However, if you’re unlike us and don’t overpack every chance you get, then you probably could get away with using the Loungefly bag as a personal item. You could just carry so much MORE with a regular backpack.
What do you say? Will you rethink your packing strategy? We’ll continue to keep you updated with more Disney news and advice, so make sure to follow along for more so that you’re always in the loop.

Do you typically take a Loungefly bag to the parks? Let us know in the comments!
Carrie Lawson says
I disagree! I fly domestic, and economy airlines with economy tickets. My “personal item” is my larger backpack that all my clothes get “rolled” into, a pair of flip flops, wedges, hair tool, toiletries. Loungefly would get clipped onto the outside of the backpack as “part of the personal item”. It works for me.
Whitley says
I fill my loungefly with items then fit the loungefly into my larger backpack(personal bag) so I can still utilize it in the park and have extra room for new souvenirs, a set of clothes or my accessories.
Kathy E says
I always take a large backpack as a personal item and fill in the bottom and then stuff in the Loungefly which contains the rest of my personal items. It fits just about everything I’d bring if I left the Loungefly behind.
