Brightline is looking to make traveling on the West Coast EASIER soon, and now they’re sharing details about the upcoming expansion!
It wasn’t too long ago that Brightline announced plans to expand to the West Coast following the success of their central Florida speed train stations running to Miami. Now it seems Brightline is sharing another significant update about WHERE we can expect their new station.
Brightline, the highspeed train company, just completed routes connecting travelers between Central and South Florida. Now, they’re giving us a peek into their plans for their West Coast expansion and exactly where this new station will be found once completed. Brightline posted on X that their next expansion phase will be located near the Las Vegas Strip, the Raiders’ Allegiant Stadium, and the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Brightline also went on to spill a further detail in the comments of their initial announcement, noting “Brightline West will use all-electric, zero-emission trains, taking 3 million cars off the road each year and reducing CO2 emissions by 400,000 tons annually!” Once this opens, the high-speed train service could be a great alternative for travelers looking for options outside of other commuting choices, like flying or driving.
This exciting news now gives us a glimpse into where you can plan to board the future Brightline train and allows us to continue to eagerly watch for updates as construction begins and Brightline West is near completion. Doesn’t the current monorail in Las Vegas cover this area? Seems like a duplication unless they are also going to the airport
Melanie Durham says
Wait a minute!!!! What about us in Tampa? Did they drop us again?
David says
Not really sure how far away from disney you would be disembarking from disney but pretty sure you would still have to get on a bus, why? I would rather just hop on a bus at airport and be dropped off at hotel. So I have no plans on taking train if going to Disney.
Melanie Durham says
@david, there are no planes that fly from Tampa to Orlando. I’ve taken the greyhound before and quite frankly, it’s disgusting. We, in Tampa, are supposed to be receiving the Brightline this way going to Orlando. So yea, I’m taking a train. Furthermore, my family and I only have one vehicle so when I want to go to disney or universal, the train is my best option!
