Meeting characters in Disney World can be some of the most magical moments you’ll remember for years to come.
Sometimes you just want to snap a photo on your phone, other times you’ve bought PhotoPass to download all those professional photos, and other times, you just want them to sign something of yours. But an autograph book isn’t the only thing characters can sign. In fact, this is how a super cheap Disney souvenir became a massive trend in the parks!
If you find yourself not being able to, or not really wanting to buy an autograph book for characters to sign, don’t worry, there are other options! So what can you use instead?
Almost anything! You could ask characters to sign a shirt, a water bottle, a photo, or even a pair of ears! As long as it’s something appropriate that wouldn’t break Disney World’s rules, characters can most likely sign it.
Now depending on the shape of the item, the signatures may come out a little wonky, but you’ll still have them! This idea works better when you don’t have too many characters signing the item (ears don’t have a lot of space!). If you’d like a lot of signatures, you can create your own signature booklet at home with some plain paper (or colored construction paper) and staples at home, or in the business center of your hotel (and when it doubt, you could ask the Cast Members at the front desk for help).
Need some ideas on what to grab?
Have Them Sign A Picture Frame!
You can grab a pack of 15 8×10 White Picture Mats for them to sign!
The best part? You can add whatever photos you’d like in here and make it customized to you and your trip.
Can’t Go Wrong With A Water Bottle
If you’re looking for a blank slate water bottle that will also be great for keeping your drink cold around the park, grab a VEGOND 17oz Stainless Steel Water Bottle.
You can also grab this water bottle in multiple different colors. Be sure to grab a colored sharpie that will show up on whatever color you decide to grab!
A Hat Is A Great Solution, Too
And if you’re looking for a hat that perfectly matches your Disney outfit, grab the Disney Boys Baseball Cap.
If you decide to grab this hat, be sure to grab a white sharpie to use for those signatures, or else it won’t show up!
