2024 is shaping up to be a great year if news like this keeps on comin’!
We’ve already seen the Disney Dining Plan return, Park Pass Reservations disappear for some ticket types, and Park Hopping ditch its 2PM restriction, so how could this week possibly get any better? Hey, guess what? IT JUST DID. One of our all-time favorite snacks at Disney’s Animal Kingdom just made its glorious return after going MISSING for several months!
You’ve probably heard us rave about the Mango Pie at Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes. The Local Food Cafes is a quick service restaurant in the Asia section of Animal Kingdom, and it’s basically the fast food version of the nearby Yak & Yeti Restaurant. We go there for the Pork Egg Rolls, Chicken Fried Rice, and — you guessed it — Mini Mango Pie.
This beloved dessert went MISSING in March 2023, with Cast Members saying they didn’t know whether it would return at all. It hasn’t been back since…that is, until NOW! On January 9th, 2024, it was BACK!
Of course we had to buy one just to make sure it tasted the same. Great news: it does. It’s silky smooth, fruity, and delicious.
The Local Food Cafes still doesn’t have it listed on its online menu, but don’t let that fool you — you should be able to order it as long as they don’t run out! The pie is listed on the physical menus at the restaurant, and it costs $8.49. Note that we didn’t see the Chocolate Pie on the menu, so that one may still be missing.
The other dessert options are still available, too, including the Banana Pudding Parfaits, Cookies & Cream Parfaits, and Frozen Lemonade Cups.

They are so good but $8.50 is criminal.
Janet C says
That price is ridiculous even for Walt Disney World.
