So who else HAS to go to Starbucks when they visit Disney World?
First, that early morning rope drop time in Disney World DEMANDS coffee, so WE GET IT. We don’t care that there’s often a long line, we’re going to order our latte and get caffeinated for the day. Disney World’s Starbucks locations do have some of the same perks as your hometown Starbucks, too — like being able to use the app to earn rewards. However, there’s ONE Starbucks perk that DOESN’T work in Disney World.
Starbucks has started a huge undertaking to cut its carbon footprint, as well as cut down the amount of water and waste sent to landfills, in half by 2030. That means the company has continued to encourage customers to bring in reusable cups for their drinks. Customers who do so get a 10-cent discount on their beverage, and in the U.S., Starbucks Rewards members get 25 Bonus Stars.
Recently, Starbucks also became the first national coffee retailer to allow reusable cups for drive-through and mobile orders in the U.S. and Canada. However, when it comes to Starbucks locations in Target, grocery stores, etc., participation may vary. We recently visited Connections Cafe, the Starbucks location in EPCOT, and learned that you will NOT be able to use a reusable cup there.
This is likely true for all Disney World theme park Starbucks locations (including Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom, Trolley Car Café in Hollywood Studios, and Creature Comforts in Animal Kingdom).
However, you CAN use a reusable cup at the Disney Springs Starbucks locations, where you can also use Starbucks’ mobile order (which isn’t available in the parks). When you use the app, you’ll see Personal Cup as an option — if you use your own cup, you’ll also get the discount there.

There is another Starbucks perk that doesn’t work in WDW, including the Disney Springs locations. We are from England & the T&C on the card says that you can use it in any country in the world to pay & earn points. We’ve tried at every Starbucks on property & not one recognises our card when we try using it.
