Everyone remain calm — it’s finally happening!
The 2024 Festival of the Arts has officially begun, and we’re experiencing it ALL so we can share the latest & greatest details with you. But as you read this post and see all of the amazing art you’ll be able to check out at the Festival, get a peek at the mouth-watering food, and admire all of the Festival merchandise, you may find yourself booking a Disney World trip without even realizing it! So, basically, read this at your own risk! 🤣
Festival Dates
The 2024 Festival of the Arts will only run from January 12th – February 19th, 2024. It’s definitely on the shorter end when it comes to EPCOT Festivals, so don’t wait too long to come and visit!
The Festival celebrates three artistic disciplines: Culinary, Visual, and Performing Arts.
The Culinary Arts, in particular, are recognized by the presence of Food Studios. These standalone marketplace booths offer enhanced food options around the park, with a focus on unique presentation in keeping with the artistic Festival theme.

Getting Started and Crowds
We were there bright and early to check it all out — and we weren’t the only ones!
It’s FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS DAY! 🎨🧑🎨✨
Crowds are braving the rainy weather in EPCOT to kick off the Festival this morning. 🌧️ Stay tuned to see EVERYTHING we get to eat and drink, 🍴the entertainment offerings, 🎤 MERCH (hello, new Figgy popcorn bucket 🍿) and SO MUCH MORE! 🤩 pic.twitter.com/c6rQsZlSWc— Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) January 12, 2024
The crowds can be intense, but most of the time, it’s all worth it!
Festival Passport
Like other EPCOT Festivals, the Festival of the Arts also features its very own Passport with all sorts of information about the event — like food booths, entertainment, and more. Make sure to grab one when you enter the park!
Here’s a closer look at this year’s NEW Festival of the Arts Passport!
Pretty colorful, huh?
Click here to see INSIDE the passport!
Signs and Decor
Make sure you keep an eye out as you enter EPCOT from the front entrance — you’ll find signs and decor featuring the many colors of the rainbow, with a certain purple dragon playing a prominent role!
Throughout EPCOT, keep an eye out for other Festival of the Arts signs!
Performing Arts
Disney on Broadway performers will be returning to the stage in 2024 with three daily shows. Fans of Frozen and Aladdin will especially be excited by this year’s lineup, which can be seen in full by clicking this link!
These performances can be seen on the America Gardens Theatre stage, while Showcase Plaza will also be home to a kaleidoscope of performances daily, such as musicians, live painting, and the acrobatics of Art Defying Gravity. Dining packages for the Disney on Broadway Concert Series will open on December 19th as well.
Interactive Experiences
You can also head to the Animation Academy at the America Gardens Theatre to learn to draw a Disney character at 12:30PM and 1:30PM daily, or join your fellow artists in working on the Expression Section: A Paint by Numbers Mural.
On the bridge to World Showcase, kids can also create their own drawings at the Kid’s Chalk Art event, happening from 11AM to 5PM every day of the festival. And don’t forget about those special magic shots PhotoPass offers and the photo ops that will be available throughout the park.

Visual Arts
More of a visual arts person? There’s plenty of that, too!
Figment Scavenger Hunt
If you want an interactive art experience, participate in Figment’s Brush with the Masters. This is a special scavenger hunt where you’ll search for hidden Figments in artwork scattered throughout the World Showcase Pavilions.
Finish the scavenger hunt, and you can return your map to get a prize! The experience costs $9.99 — get your map at Creations Shop, Port of Entry, or World Traveler.
Paint by Numbers
At the Festival, you’ll also find the Expression Section: A Paint by Numbers Mural. You can pick up a brush to paint a few squares in your assigned color.
The Expression Section paint-by-number mural is blank now, but by the end of the Festival of the Arts it’ll be all filled in by guests! 🎨 pic.twitter.com/8FzUVlMVcN

Then keep watching as the mural gets filled in and the piece of art comes together, thanks to YOUR help!
Chalk Art
You’ll also find some INCREDIBLE chalk art at the Festival at the Chalk Art Galleries in World Showcase Plaza. Keep a close eye on these as they get developed throughout the day — some may even have 3D effects!
Art
In terms of more “traditional” art, you’ll find all kinds of vendors selling unique pieces themed to Disney and more that you might just HAVE to bring home with you!
Photo Ops
Throughout the park, you’ll also find Artful Photo Ops you can step into that’ll put you INTO the art!
This year, there are even some NEW photo ops! We spotted this Teatime with Penguins photo op near the entrance to the World Showcase…
…and this Sleeping Beauty photo op that puts you right in the movie!
Spaceship Earth
Be sure to stick around until it gets dark so you can see the unique way that Spaceship Earth gets lit up during the Festival.
Check out all the confirmed entertainment for the Festival here!
