There are a lot of things to consider when picking a hotel for a Disney World trip.
First, are you JUST going to Disney World? We know a lot of folks visit Disney World AND Universal Orlando Resort. Is being on Disney World property important to you? Would you rather stay OUTSIDE of the Disney bubble and save some money? Do you need to stay somewhere that’s almost like a vacation in and of itself? Well, if that last thing is important to you, we’ve got a new hotel option in Orlando for you to consider.
Villatel Orlando Resort is now open. Now, this hotel is a little different from a standard hotel. The concept here is that guests can stay in a private villa but still get hotel amenities. The new $500 million resort covers 77 acres on International Drive, meaning it’s pretty easy to get to Universal Orlando or drive to Disney World. So basically, it’s like renting a house for your next vacation with multiple bedrooms, a kitchen, living space, and more.
Villatel also offers some immersive experiences in its villas, including dedicated themed kids’ bedrooms, entertainment spaces, home theaters, arcades, and even game lofts. Doesn’t that sound SO COOL? Forget going anywhere; we’ll just stay in the villa, right?
Later this year, Villatel has plans to debut a custom-built resort amenity center with a clubhouse, grand pool, adventure waterpark with multi-story slides and lazy river, a fully-equipped fitness center, a full-service restaurant, and children’s playgrounds, as well as courts for bocce, basketball, and pickleball.
Once the resort is completed in 2025, it will have 526 units, including 256 apartment-style suites and 270 single-family homes/villas of various sizes.
Prices begin at $232 per night. So, if you’ve got a large group, this could be JUST the place to book for your next Orlando trip.
