We’re simple people. We like chocolate Mickey bars, photos of puppies, and trips to the Disney parks. Know what else we like? Parades! You never know who you might see in a parade, plus we love a good parade float or antique car. Anyone else?
Recently, Los Angeles, California hosted its annual Kingdom Day Parade, which celebrates the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The parade is known as the “World’s Largest & Longest Running Life Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King,” and even featured appearances from some SPECIAL Disney characters!
This year, Disneyland Resort honored Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the 39th annual Kingdom Day Parade in Los Angeles, California. Over 200 Disneyland Cast Members joined the parade and held colorful balloons, flags, and ribbons in celebration.
If you visited the parade, you may have spotted some POPULAR Disney characters! Mickey and Minnie were riding in style in a Main Street vehicle — how fun!
The real star of the show was the Honorary Grand Marshal, Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog! She rode through the city in a floral horse-drawn carriage.
This parade was FULL of Disneyland Cast Members — check out the famous Omnibus all decorated for the parade.
By the way, if you’re looking for even MORE Princess Tiana news, check out our recent construction updates on the NEW Tiana’s Bayou Adventure attraction! The ride is set to open in 2024 and will feature a brand-new storyline with Tiana, Louis, Mama Odie, and more.
We love seeing all this Princess Tiana representation! In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.
