A new perk recently started for Disney World Annual Passholders: “Good-to-Go” days!
On “Good-to-Go” days, Annual Passholders do NOT need a Park Pass Reservation to go into the Disney World theme parks. Now, a recent Disney World app update makes it easier for Passholders to remember when those days are scheduled!
Disney recently got rid of the Park Pass Reservation requirement for date-based tickets, but Annual Passholders usually still need a Park Pass in order to get inside the theme parks. The exceptions to that rule are after 2PM on most days (excluding Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays) and “Good-to-Go” days.
So how do you know which days are “Good-to-Go”? You can check the Annual Passholder calendar — and we have a complete guide on how to do that right here — or you can just open up your Disney World app, thanks to the latest update!
The app has been updated and now shows this message when a day is “Good-to-Go”:
You’ll find that message on “Good-to-Go” days on the home screen of the app if you just scroll down a little bit from the top. It’s great to have this reminder so that Passholders know when they do and don’t need a Park Pass.
Once you click “Learn More,” it’ll redirect you to the Park Pass Reservation page on Disney World’s website, which also looks a little different now! The home page looks like this, with a couple of different options for Park Passes depending on which kind of ticket you have.
If you scroll down a bit, you’ll see that there’s an option for guests with tickets or passes and another option for Annual Passholders who have hotel reservations. Scroll down a little more, and you’ll see your current Park Pass Reservations.
Annual Passholders don’t need to plan their trip at all on “Good-to-Go” days — they can just show up at the parks and head right in! These days are marked on the Annual Passholder calendar so that you can plan ahead when you want to visit and find out whether you’ll need a Park Pass.
Note that you can’t really plan very far ahead — Disney has stated that they’ll update the calendar with more “Good-to-Go” days “days or weeks in advance,” so they’re not really giving us a ton of heads up. Right now, we can only see “Good-to-Go” days through February 1st.
To be safe, we recommend making a Park Pass Reservation for your trip, and then if those dates become “Good-to-Go” days later on, Disney will automatically remove the Park Pass that you no longer need, so you can use it for a different trip instead.
