For a long, long time now, there has been one snack we’ve been hoping would come to Magic Kingdom.
At Disneyland Park, they have New Orleans Square instead of Liberty Square. And in New Orleans Square, you can order some delicious, fluffy, sweet beignets. If you want that yummy treat in Disney World, you have to head all the way over to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter…but not for much longer!
Disney just dropped the foodie guide for Black History Month celebrations in the park, and on the list, we noticed something extra special — beignets are coming to Magic Kingdom!
From February 1st-March 1st, 2024, you’ll be able to order “Tiana’s Famous Beignets” at Golden Oak Outpost in Magic Kingdom. They’re described as “light, sweet, and fluffy beignets with strawberry dipping sauce.”
According to the foodie guide, they’ll only be around for a limited time, but we’re really hoping they bring beignets permanently to Magic Kingdom with the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Frontierland later this year. Could this be a test to see how well the treat is received? We’ll just have to order as many as possible to convince them to stay!
Note that this isn’t the first time we’ve ever seen beignets in Magic Kingdom — they were available for breakfast at Tomorrowland Terrace waaaayyy back in 2013!Â
You know that we’ll be there FIRST thing February 1st to try out this new snack, so stay tuned for a full review. Keep following DFB for all the Disney World food news!

Steven C. Henry says
Ok, so I grew up near New Orleans and have been there a thousand times. The best beignets are from Cafe Du Monde. We went to Disneyland recently and ate at Cafe Orleans. I ordered beignets and they were the worst, they were soaked with grease and tasted awful. I wish Disney would actually talk to people from New Orleans and South Louisiana about how to cook food properly. We take pride in our Cajun food and if they would hang out with one of us for 20 mins. they could get it right.

Sweet (literally)!
AlanC says
PLEASE add the caramel dipping sauce! It’s too good to withhold from folks who don’t have the option of going to Scat Cat’s Cafe’ at French Quarter to indulge. Scat Cat’s beignets are what happens when Krispy Kreme goes to Mardi Gras.
Joyce says
Yum! Will they be offering the gluten free version as well?
Beth says
Yaaayyy!! We’ll be there in February!!
Tricia says
But will they be real beignets like they used to have at French Quarter or will the be the Mickey donuts masquerading as beignets that they serve now?? (Yes, I’m still salty about that change! Lol)
Tricia says
Steven C Henry-You are absolutely correct, nothing beats Cafe Du Monde!! My mouth waters just thinking about them.
JPR says
I hope they’ll offer the plant-based/vegan option!
