Disney World snacks are life!
You might say “We’re here for the snacks” and it would be totally true. But not all snacks are made the same. You might find the snacks that we LOVE to be, shall we say, not your favorite? Let’s talk about it!
Let’s talk about the Disney World snacks that might not be your favorites, but we can’t get enough of them!
Plastic Cheese
We LOVE Plastic Cheese! That’s our affectionate name for the little cups of cheese sauce you can find at some quick service spots around Disney World, but it’s NOT the same as the cheese sauce that you get prepackaged when you buy a Mickey pretzel. This cheese has a richer cheesy flavor and it’s usually served warm instead of cold and goopy.
It’s not actually plastic, either. That’s just a name that we came up with because it looks so smooth and fake once it’s poured into the cup. But it’s absolutely delicious for dipping your French fries or corn dog nugs.
Turkey Leg
Yes, the Jumbo Turkey Legs are ICONIC. They’re also EXTREMELY controversial (some fans love them and some hate them). Our team is split right down the middle with loving and hating them too.
When you’re eating this snack, you feel like you’re a caveman straight from the Mesozoic Era!
Also, this snack isn’t just a snack — it’s a MEAL! You’ll definitely need to do some laps of the parks to walk off the 1,000 calories you’ll take in with a turkey leg!
Fuzzy Tauntaun
Ext up, we’ve got the Fuzzy Tauntaun! It’s an ICONIC drink you can typically find at Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
The drink is made with Cîroc Peach Vodka, Bols Peach Schnapps, Simply® Orange with Tangerine, Pure Cane Sugar, and “Buzz Button Tingling” Foam. That “Buzz Button Tingling” foam is what makes your mouth go numb when drinking it. We’re not kidding folks, you truly feel NUMB!!
The foam gets this effect from an ingredient mixed into it which is a natural painkiller derived from a special Szechuan flower known as “Buzz Buttons.” The sensation is pretty bizarre, but also VERY entertaining. It wears off pretty fast so you aren’t stuck feeling numb for too long!
While it can make you feel like you’re at the dentist getting a filling, it’s definitely got a great peach flavor!
Everglazed Donuts
Last up, we’ve got to talk about Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew. You’ll find it over on the West Side of Disney Springs. Here you can find some pretty amazing specialty donuts and cold brew coffee.
They also have the occasional limited edition donut, like this Grilled Cheeeeeese sandwich is iconic.
Some of our team likes their donuts even more than Gideon’s cookies, whereas others on the team call blasphemy on that!
Those are just a couple of our favorite snacks that might not normally be number one on your list. For more Disney snacks and the latest updates, keep following DFB!
Essie says
I live in the soft pretzel capital of the world. We have Philly soft pretzel Factories all over the city and our suburbs. I never ate my pretzels with mustard when I was little, always just plain. However, you can buy containers of plastic cheese and it makes the pretzels absolutely perfect!
