We’re seeing quite a few changes at Disney’s BoardWalk these days.
Big River Grille just closed permanently a few days ago, and The Cake Bake Shop is under construction with an opening planned for this year. We’re also keeping an eye on construction at the future home of Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs. So with a few food options currently unavailable, the BoardWalk has a new solution!
Recently, a new food truck has arrived on the BoardWalk, just past Big River Grille’s old home, near Jellyrolls. Say hello to App’s!
It’s interesting to see a food truck set up here — we typically find them in Disney Springs instead. But with two restaurants under construction and one closed, the need for relief food is STRONG.
There are two high-top tables set up outside, but there are also plenty of empty outdoor tables and benches in the general area. The truck has a really varied menu with options for a bunch of different tastes.
When we say varied, we MEAN it! They’ve got everything from empanadas to hot dogs to burgers to chicken wraps.
The prices seem to be a little bit higher than your average Disney World quick service, but they’ve got some unique options on the menu. If you’re interested in checking it out, head on over to the BoardWalk!
We’ll keep you updated with any more food news from Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB.

I hope The Cake Bake Shop is open by the time I arrive on March 19th. You would think they would speed up the construction since there are so few places to eat now. Flying Fish is too expensive for a family. I used to go regularly years ago, but I was ordering the same dish, because it was the most affordable. I guess we’ll have to travel over to Yacht & Beach. In fact, we have one reservation for dinner for 8 over there.

Not sure how they get away with saying it’s 100% fat free. I know it’s wordplay, but very misleading.

Are the food trucks still coming to the Boardwalk? I didn’t see one today. Is the schedule posted anywhere?
