I’m disappointed! No mention of Vibram 5-Fingers toe shoes? It has been a year since I was at WDW last, but I’ve been in those minimalist shoes for perhaps 15 visits over the last 13-15 years. I average 70 miles per visit in them. In fact, the last several, my wife’s had to use an ECV, so I’m not just doing the parks, I’m keeping up with her.
Yes, there’s a little sarcasm here, but I think it’s important to stress that the right footwear for a Disney trip is SO important. Don’t buy the shoes and try to break them in after you get there. Get shoes you like and are very comfortable in. Make sure you know how to take care of your feet. Have bandaids handy if you get blisters. All that stuff they told you before hiking at summer camp!
