There’s no question that Universal’s new Epic Universe announcement has taken the world by storm and hype has reached levels we haven’t seen in DECADES. But is it possible people aren’t hyped ENOUGH?
Universal Orlando made massive waves this past week when it revealed a deep dive into its new Epic Universe theme park. Of course, people were naturally excited about the attraction announcements and land theming, but they seem to be forgetting another thing to get excited about — the hotels!
Along with a WHOPPING 50 “EPIC” ATTRACTIONS (!!!), the new Universal theme park will also house Universal Helios Grand Hotel inside the theme park, the first of its kind at the Universal Orlando Resort!
The new hotel will feature 500 rooms with some of the most unique park views you can get at any theme park resort in the world. This one-of-a-kind hotel will also have its own dedicated theme park entrance for guests.
Joining Universal Helios Grand Hotel will be two park-adjacent hotels — Universal Stella Nova Resort and Universal Terra Luna Resort by Loews Hotels. Stella Nova, which is inspired by the cosmos, will open before Epic Universe on January 21st, 2025. Terra Luna is inspired by terrestrial exploration and Stella Nova’s sister property. It is set to open a month later on February 25th, 2025. Both resorts will come with the usual exclusive theme park benefits like early entry and free transportation to and from Universal’s four theme parks (Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, Universal Volcano Bay, and Universal Epic Universe).
Universal has become an absolute powerhouse in the theme park industry over the past decade-plus. With the Wizarding World of Harry Potter expansions at both U.S. resorts as well as the opening of Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood and the upcoming Universal Kids Resort in Texas, Universal is giving Disney a run for its money as the top theme park destinations in the world.
The new Epic Universe theme park and all of Universal’s future Destination and Experience plans are beyond exciting and we can’t wait to share all the updates with you right here at DFB! Stay tuned for all the latest!
