Y’all, we just heard about something and we don’t know how to feel… so we need opinions.
In recent years, the average person’s preferences have been leaning away from cola-based products and more toward water, sports drinks, seltzers, and flavored sodas. This is a problem for Coca-Cola, as their sales have been declining with this shift. To combat this, they just announced a NEW FLAVOR of coke — and it’s spiced. We think this warrants a discussion. So sit back, relax, and let’s talk about this.
According to CNN, sales of Coca-Cola have been declining. They have spent some time over the last few years playing with different flavors and selling them for a limited time — but nothing has ever been permanently added to the lineup… until now.
On February 19th, they are officially releasing Coca-Cola Spiced for everyone to try. One of the biggest questions we had was “What does that even mean?!”, because — let’s be real, spiced could mean a lot of different things.
Well, according to Coca-Cola, this new addition will have the flavor profile of raspberry combined with other spiced flavors. We’re not quite sure what “spiced flavors” means, but we’re excited to try it regardless.
This flavor was created to hop on the trend that big soda companies are noticing about consumers — that they’re looking for bolder, and punchier flavors. They decided to stick with raspberry because that was the flavor addition that was selected over 5 million times on their Freestyle drink machines.
When this flavor releases, it’ll be joining the ranks of Cherry Coke, Coke Vanilla, Coke Zero, Diet Coke, and — of course, original Coca-Cola. They will be selling it in cans and bottles of various sizes. So, if you’re looking to give this creation a try, head to your local grocery store on February 19th and pick up a bottle. Don’t forget to let us know what you think of it! We need ALL of the opinions on this new flavor.
We aren’t sure what this new flavor will taste like, but we’re excited to give it a try regardless. This sounds like a bold new flavor — and we’re so ready for it. We’ll be keeping an eye on this new flavor and seeing what people think of it, so keep checking in with us to see what we find next!

I’ll skip it. I’ve had a weight problem my entire life. Several years ago I went from size 20 to size10 and I’ve kept it off. How? Lots more fresh fruit and vegetables, less red meat, more seafood and a LOT less soda. I used to drink a quart a day, but now it’s only once in a great while on special occasions. I really think the decrease in soda made the most difference.
