Disney on Ice is currently on tour in the United States. There are five unique shows happening now, including “Find Your Hero,” “Into the Magic,” “Frozen & Encanto,” “Mickey’s Search Party,” and “Magic in the Stars.”
In Minneapolis, Minnesota, a skater was injured during Disney on Ice’s “Magic in the Stars” show.
According to CBS News, a Disney on Ice skater was recently injured during an 11AM performance at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The accident took place on Saturday, February 10th, 2024.
A statement by Feld Entertainment, the production company involved with the show, indicated that the skater who plays Belle fell while performing a lift during a pairs skating performance. The skater was taken to the hospital, where officials later confirmed that her condition was critical but stable.
UPDATE: Fox has reported, “A spokesperson for the hospital told FOX 9 she is now in serious condition. Over the weekend, she was listed in critical but stable condition.”
The Disney on Ice Shows at the Target Center will still go on, according to Feld Entertainment.
