Okay, we have to admit it — Happily Ever After is probably one of our favorite fireworks shows EVER.
This special fireworks show that happens nightly (well, on MOST nights, that is) is a do-not-miss event, for sure. But with a Happily Ever After viewing comes a BIG problem, especially if you’re watching from Main Street, U.S.A. That problem is CROWDS, and even when the park isn’t super busy, you’ll deal with a lot of people. But we’ve got a WAY better way to see Happily Ever After and you’re going to want to try it next time you’re in Magic Kingdom.
Okay, hear us out. We get you might want to be on Main Street, U.S.A. for Happily Ever After (especially if you want to see the projections), but if you’ve already seen the fireworks from there at least once or you just have an aversion to crowds, there’s a way better way to experience the show. So here’s what you want to do: Just before the fireworks begin, head immediately to Frontierland.
Once you’re in Frontierland, check the time and get in line for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad before the fireworks begin. Now, you might have to do some math, depending on how long the line for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is, but ride lines are usually shorter during the fireworks.
All that’s left is to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. You’ll have a unique view of the fireworks while you’re zooming along the tracks. What’s more fun than that? We’ll tell you — NOTHING! This will totally change the way you see Happily Ever After and may become your favorite way to watch the fireworks in Magic Kingdom from now on.
Trust us — try this and report back how it went. We think you’ll LOVE it.
