You know when you’re expecting BIG, exciting news and you just wait by the phone in anticipation all day?
That’s how we feel with a lot of Disney World news. If you’re a longtime Disney fan, you’ve likely noticed that Disney releases teensy bits of news at a time. That leaves us sitting on the edge of our SEATS for major announcements. Well, things felt nice and complete as we wrapped up the end of the week; we got THREE huge announcements and updates from Disney! Let’s talk about it.
Alright, if you aren’t already excited, you should be. Ya ready?
Menus Announced for the 2024 Flower and Garden Festival
Starting on February 28th, the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival will kick off. We can’t wait! This springtime festival typically brings stunning topiaries, floral displays, and lots of fun activities. But the thing we’re most excited about is the FOOD. And Disney just announced the menus for the festival!
There are new menu items, the Garden Graze stroll is returning, and we’re just SO stoked to grub and check out all things SPRING. If you’re hoping to check out the full menus, click here.
This year’s Flower and Garden Festival is a bit shorter than usual, so make sure to head to the park before May 27th to snag the food.

Now, let’s head to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.
1900 Park Fare is UNDER CONSTRUCTION
We learned in early February that 1900 Park Fare would REOPEN for the first time since the COVID-19-related closures back in 2020.
We were at the Grand Floridian when we noticed that something was DIFFERENT about the 1900 Park Fare doors. They’re now BLUE and have windows — although they’ve been covered so you can’t see all the construction taking place inside.
We think these doors look absolutely STUNNING and can’t wait to visit the restaurant again on April 10th. That’s not the only thing that’s going to be different about the restaurant, though. The character dining experience is also changing with NEW characters. The previous experience had characters like Mary Poppins, Cinderella, Prince Charming, and Winnie the Pooh. The NEW dining experience will bring in Aladdin in his Prince Ali outfit, Cinderella, Mirabel, and Tiana in her new outfit from Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Many fans are on the fence about this change, because they liked meeting the other characters, too.

Lastly, let’s head over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
A baby elephant is now on the loose! (On the savanna.)
In December 2023, we saw the first African elephant calf born in Disney World in seven years! Her name is Corra, and she is SO ADORABLE. Her mom is Nadirah, and this is Nadirah’s first baby. And if you want to talk Circle of Life, Nadirah was also born in Animal Kingdom. CUTE.
Well, Corra is growing up FAST. We’ve been waiting since the day Corra was born to finally be able to see her in the savanna — and now we have that chance! She’ll be on the savanna surrounded by her family and, of course, accompanied by her mom, Nadirah!
Yes, that means you have a chance of seeing her if you go on Kilimanjaro Safaris in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
