Airport lounges are an amazing way to spend some time comfortably in the airport before your flight.
Some people even choose to get to the airport early just so they can enjoy the lounge for longer before they take off! Some airport lounges, though, are only available for certain credit card holders or business members, but many allow you to purchase a day pass for a range of prices. If you’re a Capital One card member, there’s a NEW way you can request a spot in their airport lounges!
Capital One cardholders can now request to join the airport lounge via a mobile waitlist! These waitlists are accessed through the Capital One mobile app (specifically in the Travel page within the Explore Rewards & Benefits section), and allows cardmembers to skip the wait for the lounge in entirety, according to Simple Flying.
Now, customers can still request to join the waitlist in person at the lounge desk, and either way, they will receive a text when its their turn to enter the lounge. This way, travelers don’t have to waste time walking over to the lounge to put their name down and then walk away, only to come back when their name is called.
You will have 15 minutes to return to the lounge when you receive the text notification. From there, you’ll also be able to let the lounge know if you want to cancel, if you’re on your way, running late, or have arrived.
The feature has rolled out for Venture X and Venture X Business cardholders and will continue to be added for more eligible cardholders in the future. There are currently three Capital One airport lounges available:
- Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) in Terminal D
- Washington Dulles (IAD) in the Main Terminal
- Denver Airport (DEN) in Concourse A
