No, we’re not talking about Disney World for once. And, surprisingly, no — we’re not even talking about McDonald’s this time, either. You see, Dear DFB Reader, a new menu item has debuted at Taco Bell and yes, we’re telling you all about it.
Everyone remain calm, because Taco Bell’s newest menu item is here. The Cheesy Chicken Crispanada has arrived and will only be around for a limited time. Fans of empanadas will likely enjoy this take on the classic, which is made with a fusion of melted cheese, juicy tender chicken, and vibrant Mexican spices in a crispy, crunchy shell. It’s also served with a side of Spicy Ranch.
From the masterminds of the Taco Bell test kitchen comes the Cheesy Chicken Crispanada. The brand’s take on the iconic empanada is set to hit menus nationwide for a limited time starting February 15, bringing with it a fusion of craveable flavors.
The Crispanada was first tested in Tennessee in 2023 and is available nationwide for a limited time in participating Taco Bell stores nationwide. Inspired by the classic empanada, the Cheesy Chicken Crispanada is “a portable delight designed for easy enjoyment anywhere, anytime.” We don’t know about you, but for those who are often eating Taco Bell on the go, this sounds like a match made in heaven.

In other fast food news, McDonald’s is rebranding as “WcDonald’s”, for a limited time an ode to its fictional existence in the anime world. The temporary rebrand includes a new sauce, manga-inspired packaging, and weekly anime shorts.
The new sauce is the Savory Chili WcDonald’s Sauce, which is billed as a “unique combination of ginger, garlic, and soy with a slight heat from chili flakes.” Try it out with an order of “WcNuggets”!
