If you need another reason to add an international Disney trip to your 2024 plans, we’ve got PLENTY for you now!
We’ve been following the updates of Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea since its announcement, and we screamed with excitement when the concept art was released! While that gave us our first “peek” at what was to come, it seems that Disney is now ready to share EVEN MORE details with us than ever before. Here’s everything you need to know about Fantasy Springs so far!
Disney has just announced new details about all the things coming to Fantasy Springs. This new expansion will be 8th themed land at Tokyo DisneySea, and it’s set to open on June 6th, 2024.
To talk about Fantasy Springs more in-depth, you’ll probably need to know the lay of the land before we get any further. Fantasy Springs will be made up of “magical springs that will lead to a world of Disney fantasy” and are inspired by popular Disney animated films. You’ll be able to step inside the Frozen Kingdom for the first time, experience Rapunzel’s Forest (and spot her incredible artwork all around you), and even set off for adventure inside Peter Pan’s Never Land.
That’s not all that will be new though, Disney is also adding ANOTHER incredible hotel, Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel, to accommodate even more incoming visitors. To enter Fantasy Springs visitors will need a Standby Pass (which is available for free) or a Disney Premier Access (which is available as a paid option for eligible attractions) to experience all the new land will have to offer. Let’s take a closer look at all the new details from each section of the land!
Frozen Kingdom
Frozen Kingdom picks up the Frozen story where we last left off in the film with all of us invited to visit the kingdom of Arendelle.
You’ll be able to board a boat on Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey. This slow-moving boat ride will take you through the storyline of the Frozen film and you’ll get an opportunity to immerse yourself in the heartwarming tale of realizing true love (that can thaw a frozen heart).
This version will be similar to what we have at Disney World with Frozen Ever After however, it will also feature a few more of the songs from the movie like “Love Is An Open Door,” “Do You Want To Build A Snowman,” and “For The First Time In Forever.” This is a ride that will be compatible with the paid option of Disney Premiere Access to enjoy.
Rapunzel’s Forrest
Here you’ll be able to visit Rapunzel’s childhood home straight from the Tangled film.
You’ll be able to ride Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival, which is the first Disney attraction to feature Rapunzel’s story.
This ride will allow you to embark on a romantic gondola tour aboard a boat-shaped vehicle. Along your ride, you’ll spot Rapunzel gazing out her tower singing “When Will My Life Begin” as Flynn Rider watches on. And, you’ll even get a chance to see their relationship unfold after Rapunzel escapes her tower to have her “best day ever” and watch as the pair falls in love during the Lantern Festival singing, “I See The Light.” This attraction will also be compatible with the paid option of Disney Premiere Access.
Peter Pan’s Never Land
In Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure, you will join Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, and the Lost Kids on an epic adventure! During the ride, you’ll race through Never Land to rescue John (Wendy’s brother) from Captain Hook and his pesky band of pirates. After Peter Pan announces to you that John has been kidnapped, you’ll board a boat and set off on an adventure.
Then, Tinker Bell will sprinkle fairy dust on your boat, allowing you to take flight! During your ride, you’ll find familiar characters from the film like Wendy, Michael, the mermaids, and Tiger Lily before discovering the villainous Captain Hook aboard the Jolly Roger and watching as the epic pirate battle unfolds before you. This attraction will also be compatible with Disney Premiere Access.
Another attraction can be found at Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies. This attraction will be located in
Pixie Hollow, the neighboring fairy valley in Never Land where Tinker Bell and her fairy friends live.
Here you’ll board a Busy Buggy (an invention of Tinker Bell’s no doubt), and explore the fairy valley
and its changing seasons. Once aboard you’re shrunk to fairy size! Everything from flowers and mushrooms to painting utensils and even pieces of nibbled cheese will be so much larger in size than you’re used to. The attraction’s boarding area is a delivery service location where you’ll board the Busy Buggy and help Tinker Bell deliver items to those waiting for them.
You’ll even get a chance to see how the seasons change throughout Fairy Valley, so hang on tight! For more information, details, photos, and updates, head over to our Tokyo Disney Fantasy Springs page!
