Get ready to GRAZE your way around the 2024 EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival with this year’s food crawl, where eating some snacks can earn you a prize!
The 2024 EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival is happening now through May 27th, and we’re eating ALL the snacks at the festival, checking out the Garden Rocks concert series, and participating in the Garden Graze food stroll to check out some plant-based eats and win a prize. Come with us to experience this plant-based food crawl!
Details on this year’s Garden Graze can be found in the festival passport, which you can pick up at the park’s entrance and at food booths throughout the festival.
To participate, you’ll need to buy five of the qualifying food items from festival booths around EPCOT. When you get one of the items, make sure to get your Passport stamped at that booth. Although you only need to eat five of those items, this year’s list includes eight options, so you’ll be able to pick those things that sound best to you!
You will have to pay for each item, but once you collect stamps for five of those items, you can turn your passport in at the Pineapple Promenade food booth to collect your “free” prize (which actually ended up costing $32.75 if you add up the prices of all the snacks we bought as part of the stroll).
This year’s Garden Graze items are:
- Bauernmarkt: Farmer’s Market (Germany Pavilion): Potato Pancakes with House-Made Apple Sauce
- BRUNCHCOT (Near Test Track presented by Chevrolet): Avocado Toast with Marinated Tomatoes and Plant-Based Cheese Crumbles on Toasted Ciabatta
- EPCOT Farmers Feast (Near Test Track presented by Chevrolet): Grilled Street Corn on the Cob with Savory Garlic Spread and Plant-Based Cheese
- Florida Fresh (Near Disney Traders): Florida Strawberry Shortcake
- La Isla Fresca (Between the France and Morocco Pavilions): Coconut Tres Leches: Vanilla Cake soaked with Oat, Almond, and Coconut Milks topped with Toasted Coconut
- Refreshment Outpost: Seasonal Fruit Parfait with Sweet Chili Sauce and Mango DOLE Whip®
- Refreshment Port (Near Canada Pavilion): Plant-Based Buffalo Chicken Tender Poutine on Crispy Potato Barrels with Plant-Based Ranch and Blue Cheese Crumbles
- Trowel & Trellis (Near Disney Traders): Impossible™ Farmhouse Meatball with Lentil Bread, Spinach, Marinated Vegetables and Creamy Herb Aioli
First, we tried the beautiful Avocado Toast from Brunchcot! This insta-worthy snack is $6 and topped with marinated tomatoes and plant-based cheese crumbles, all served up on toasted ciabatta. It’s a classic that we keep coming back to for good reason — we love the fresh flavors and incredible bread!
Next, we ordered the Grilled Street Corn on the Cob from EPCOT Farmers Feast for $5.75. The tasty corn is generously coated in a savory garlic spread and plant-based cheese. We loved it!
For our third item, we chose the Plant-Based Buffalo Chicken Tender Poutine from Refreshment Port. This was another win in our books! Its tater tots topped with plant-based buffalo “chicken” bites, ranch, and plant-based blue cheese crumbles. SO GOOD. At $10, it was the most expensive Garden Graze item we bought today.
The fourth item for our Garden Graze was the Coconut Tres Leches from La Isla Fresca! This is a returning favorite that we enjoy year after year. The vanilla cake is soaked with oat, almond, and coconut milk. Grab one for $5!
And finally, we wrapped up our food crawl with the Impossible Farmhouse Meatball at Trowel & Trellis. We definitely ended on a high note! This is a plant-based IMPOSSIBLE Farmhouse Meatball that is plated with lentil bread, spinach, marinated vegetables, and creamy herb aïoli. It’s super good and just $6.
We’ve collected all of our stamps now, so come with us to collect the prize! We headed over to Pineapple Promenade to turn in our stamps. The prize this year is the same as last year — a souvenir festival cup filled with DOLE Whip! It’s DOLE Whip Lime with Minute Maid Lemonade and Mango Smoothie Mix. You’ll also get a little packet of seeds with it.
So is this activity for you? If you want to try out some new eats and enjoy plant-based food, you should definitely give it a try! And if you’re planning on trying five of those Garden Graze eats anyway, why not collect a prize along the way? On its own, the prize is probably not worth almost $33 (there’s a more interesting DOLE Whip over at Refreshment Outpost, and it’s only $7), but if you’ll enjoy all the snacks required to get the prize, it’s a fun addition.
