I think Disney’s creative energy and skill has stalled out. So many of their recent releases, both new creative releases and resort remodeling, have been so-so at best. I think this is a reflection of their governance around project approval and the skill sets of those in the governance approval chain. Many of Diney’s new ideas were very weak from the get-go. New leadership is needed, from Iger on down. Iger’s insistence on Wokeness has contributed to Disney’s business failures and challenges. I am glad that Universal is upping the game with Epic Universe. Maybe this will wake up the Disney shareholders and cause them to rethink their allegiance to Bob Iger.
