Dining Plan Meals that Deplete Your Sources
On January 9th, the Disney Dining Plan returned for the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic. With the return of the Disney Dining Plan, there were a few updates that occurred. The Dining Plan is based on credits. For the basic dining plan, you get one table service meal per day, one quick service meal per day, and one snack per day.
While most Disney World restaurants count for one credit, you must use TWO table service credits at the following:
- Cinderella’s Royal Table
- Akershus Royal Banquet Hall — Princess Storybook Dining
- Story Book Dining with Snow White at Artist Point
So… choose wisely! Don’t go spendin’ all your credits in one place and depletin’ our sources.

Parade Cancellations that Set off Wailing Sirens Kiddos
Imagine that your kiddo is so excited to see Ariel in Magic Kingdom’s Festival of Fantasy Parade after you told them about it the morning-of.
Imagine their reaction when the parade gets cancelled and they don’t understand why they can’t see Ariel… We’d recommend keeping a watchful eye on the My Disney Experience app so that you’ll know ahead of time whether or not a parade showing will take place. Oh, and sometimes, you’ll want to check Disney’s website well in advance of your trip to see if parades and shows will be happening.
For example, the Festival of Fantasy parade typically happens twice daily, but sometimes they change it to once daily. Usually, they have this on the calendar a while in advance so that no one is caught off guard. This also pertains to shows around Disney World as well!

Restaurants that Close Before the Parks Which Will Leave You Weak and Hangry
No one likes being hungry. ESPECIALLY after a long day walking around the theme parks. A lot of folks plan to grab a snack or meal as they’re walking out of the theme parks at the end of the day, and then are left disappointed when they realize that the restaurants are closed.
Please check the Disney World app for restaurant hours ahead of time! Although a park might close at 10PM, the restaurants might close at 9. It’s just better to be prepared.

Pool Closures That Leave You With No Respite From Treacherous Heat
Just like the Disney World rides, the hotel pools undergo routine maintenance to keep them in great shape for the upcoming seasons. These typically take place in the winter, but Disney World winters are still pretty warm. So, you might not have a pool to seek respite!
These closures should be listed on the Disney World booking website, but you can also ask a Cast Member at booking to ensure that the pool will be available when you visit.
