Shout out to all the non-morning people out there! You are seen, you are heard, you are not alone, and you are probably DREADING that 6AM wake-up time on your next Disney World vacation.
As much as I’d love to be a “wake up early and seize the day” kind of person, I’m definitely more of a “snooze my alarm four times and finally roll out of bed when I’m seriously late to whatever I have going on” kind of person. But in Disney World, sleeping in is NOT AN OPTION (well, it is, but not for me haha). That’s the one time I’ll grit my teeth and get up way before the sun because you can bet I am NOT missing rope drop. Even when I’m at Disney World, waking up early is still not easy, so I found these awesome essentials on Amazon that can make the process a little less painful.
All of these items are available on Amazon, and most are eligible for Amazon Prime, too! That means that Prime members get fast, free shipping. If you’re not a Prime member already, you can sign up for a free trial by clicking the link below!
Ready to stock up on everything you need to become a Disney World early bird? Let’s go!
Get a Sunrise Alarm Clock for a Gentle Wake-up Call
Being startled by a blaring alarm clock is NOT how I want to start my Disney World day. I’d much rather be woken up naturally and gently by this Sunrise Alarm Clock and Sound Machine. It has 26 different soothing sounds, so it can help you get to sleep each night, too, after a long day in the parks.
Grab Some Dry Shampoo to Make Getting Ready Fast and Easy!
If you think I’m waking up with enough time to wash, dry, and style my hair each morning before we head to the parks, you’ve got another thing comin’. This Batiste dry shampoo is my best friend when I’m at Disney World! We found a 3-pack of travel-sized cans for your next trip.
This Energizing Facial Scrub Is Basically a Magic Potion for Awakeness
We’re pretty sure that this energizing morning facial scrub was crafted by the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs because even Disney villains have a hard time getting up some mornings. And if it’s not magic making this scrub work so well, we couldn’t tell ya what it is 😂.
Snag a Cute Water Bottle to Stay Hydrated in the AM
Experts have said that one of the BEST tips for feeling awake and energized is to stay hydrated! Grab this cute, leak-proof Owala water bottle for your next trip so that you don’t forget to sip water all day long and especially in the mornings.
There are lots of different color options available, and the FreeSip spout has both a straw and a swig drinking option. The bottles lock closed when you’re not using them, and they have carry loops, too!
An Organized Park Bag Will Make Mornings 10X Less Stressful
Make sure you pack your park bag the night before so that you’re not scrambling to find all your essentials in the morning. Our reporters have fallen in love with these Lug crossbody bags because they have tons of pockets to organize everything you need.
Coffee Is Not Optional — Don’t Forget Your Travel Thermos!
We already mentioned one magic potion for helping you wake up, but the OTHER magic potion is definitely CAFFEINE. Without my morning fix, I become a monster worse than any Disney villain. You can grab this Stanley thermos for your morning brew — it comes in three different sizes, and there are lots of different color options to choose from, too!
Get These Headphones for Your Morning Hype Playlist
Another tip we found when researching how to wake up early and not be super sad about it is to have a morning hype playlist! Honestly, why didn’t we think of that?! My list would definitely include “I Just Can’t Wait to be King” from The Lion King, “Try Everything” from Zootopia, and “When Will My Life Begin” from Tangled. On particularly difficult mornings, I’d add “I Can Go the Distance” from Hercules for extra motivation. These Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds are perfect for your upcoming trip — they’re not too expensive (so you won’t be completely terrified to lose them), and they have a digital screen to show the power levels (so you know when they need to be charged).
Stay tuned to DFB, and we’ll keep sharing our best Disney tips and tricks with ya!
