Disney Channel Nite is a real thing that officially exists in Disneyland! Yes, really! This one is for all you Kim Possible, Hannah Montana, Phineas & Ferb, and Camp Rock fans, and let us tell you, the event is a total BLAST!
This nostalgia-based Disneyland After Dark event brought together some of the most cherished Disney Channel entertainment, characters, and photo ops from the ’90s and early 2000s. Let’s take a look at some of the eats that were offered throughout the night and where you could find them!
Disney Channel Nite officially kicked off at Disneyland, and with that came some brand-new snacks. During the night’s festivities, you’ll be able to choose from 2 exclusive dining package options at either Cafe Orleans or River Belle Terrace.
Let’s start by telling you about what you’ll get at Cafe Orleans. For $35 per adult, you’ll be treated to some savory, casual eats with a French Quarter flair at the New Orleans Square restaurant. A regular kids’ meal will be available for little ones, and you can make reservations for this experience between 8 and 11:30PM. Your dining package will include a 3-course, prix fixe meal and a river view that everyone can enjoy.
You’ll be treated to one entree of your choice, two sides…
…and a dessert!
Over at River Belle Terrace, you’ll also be treated to a full-course meal however, your pricing will vary depending on what menu items you choose. You won’t need reservations to enjoy this dining package, either. Just simply walk up and place your order! Here, you’ll be able to sip and eat leisurely through your dining experience with a gorgeous riverfront view.
This dinner will offer you a choice of one entree, dessert, and beverage with your dining package.
But there’s a LOT to see and do during Disney Channel Nite, so you might not want to spend your valuable time on a big meal. Luckily, there are PLENTY of treats and snacks available around the park. Make sure to pick up an event guide when you arrive!
Some of these treats are available to Mobile Order, too, so make sure to download the My Disney Experience app!
We could spend our entire night eating our way around the park, but there are other things to see and do, people! But we are the Disney Food Blog, after all, so don’t you worry — we tried some exclusive treats you NEED to see.
OK, this first one was a no-brainer. Disney created Loaded Dino Nuggies, which are french fries and dinosaur-shaped nuggets topped with nacho cheese and buffalo ranch sauce, garnished with sliced Fresno chiles, bacon bits, and green onion. You can try it for $12.99! You can get this snack at The Golden Horseshoe or Stage Door Cafe.
You had us at Dino Nuggies. These nuggets were warm and cheesy, with a bit of a tangy and spicy flavor from the buffalo ranch. The sliced chiles added a kick of heat, too, so keep that in mind if you’re spice-averse.
The bacon provided a nice, salty addition that mixed perfectly with the cheese. Cheese and bacon? Of course we’re going to like it! That said, the fries here aren’t anything special; they’re just basic quick-service Disney fries. Even the nuggets themselves weren’t exactly the BEST dino nuggs we’ve ever had — they tasted like cheap frozen nuggets. But hey, you probably aren’t ordering this and expecting any chef-quality chicken. At the end of the day, they’re dino nuggets, people.
Up next, we tried the Bouncing Beary Beignets from the Mint Julep Bar. For $4.99, you can try two Mickey-shaped beignets with blueberry sugar and a berry icing drizzle.
Whew — this was interesting. Our beignets tasted JUST. LIKE. a gummy bear, but with the texture of warm beignets. The berry icing drizzle was slightly sour, so if you like sour candy, you might want to try this. Our beignets had a strong berry candy flavor that was a little artificial but didn’t bother us. Again, you probably have a good idea of what you’re getting here. This isn’t the place for a gourmet beignet. We’re here to celebrate our inner child!
We’re covering everything that’s going on at Disneyland’s Disney Channel Nite so be sure to stay tuned with us at Disney Food Blog for all of the exciting events from the night!
