We are more than just a little excited about the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Disney Treasure.
Everything we’ve learned so far about the ship just has us counting down the days to its first sailing on December 21st (that feels SO far away, though). This ship is going to have SO many firsts. The first Moana stage show will be performed on the ship. There’s even a suite inspired by EPCOT. Maybe we’re most excited about the first EVER Haunted Mansion lounge. Well, now the Disney Treasure has another first — the first signature song for a Disney Cruise Line ship!
Yep, for the first time, Disney has released a signature song for a cruise ship. The Disney Treasure’s song is “Live the Adventure” (VERY appropriate name), and it’s sung by award-winning singer and songwriter Jordin Sparks. Disney believes that the new song “sets the tone for a bold new era of Disney Cruise Line vacations.”
“For me, this is a really cool moment,” Sparks said. “I’ve been wanting to do something like this for so long. I’m very excited that [“Live the Adventure”] is going to be part of the Disney repertoire, and that it’s going to be an original with my vocals on it.”
The song was written by Dewain Whitmore, Jr. and Chantry Johnson and produced by Brandon N. Caddell. The writers took a lot of inspiration from Disney’s animated movie Aladdin, which makes sense as the Grand Hall of the Disney Treasure will feature Aladdin theming, complete with a gold figure of Aladdin and Jasmine on their magic carpet ride.
