There are changes coming to Disney World!
We’re here to make sure that you’ve got all the information you need to help you with planning your Disney World trip. This particular weekend has some changes that are coming for a specific RANDOM reason, and you have to know about it. Let’s talk about it!
“So what’s the deal?”, I hear you asking. Well,Daylight Savings Time (you know that spring-forward or fall-back time change that happens twice a year), means we’ll be getting an extra hour of that Florida sunshine and coming right along with that extra hour are some changes at a couple of the Disney World parks.
The first place where you will notice a change is over at Kilimanjaro Safaris in Animal Kingdom. The hours for this ride will change on March 10th. We checked on the Disney World website and saw that the ride closes at 5:45PM on March 9th and then closes later, at 6:45PM on March 10th.
This ride typically closes early to accommodate the animals, but now you’ll have an extra hour to enjoy it!
Next, let’s head over to Magic Kingdom. Happily Ever After (the fireworks show at Cinderella Castle) will begin at a different time. The show has been starting right at 8PM. But beginning March 10th, it will start at 8:30PM.
As always, you’re going to want to keep an eye on the My Disney Experience app when planning your trip to Disney World.
We’ll be on the lookout for more changes that could be impacted by Daylight Saving Time, so stay tuned to DFB for the latest news and updates from Disney World and more!
